Yes, with Riva Tuner Server (packaged with MSI Afterburner), attempting to switch or highlight a new wall paper, static or animated, the configuration applet just shuts down.  I am able to create and exception rule in the Riva Tuner Server to ignore DreamScapesConfig.exe by setting the application detection level to None (effectively removing the hook on that process I suspect).   I also create the same rule for all the dreamscape executables 'just in case' .... after which it works fine.
The only other bug I can report is that Dreamscapes labels my monitors in a different order than windows/nvidia driver.  Dreamscapes monitor 1 is the system monitor 2 and the Dreamscapes monitor 2 is the system's monitor 1.  I am running a 3 monitor setup, and monitor 3 is monitor 3 for both Dreamscapes and the system.
