So i herd you like spaceships

So i herd you like spaceships

lol

Mhh, this might be of interest for some of you folks
This is Alan, one of the main characters in a novel i am currently writing.
Alan is a self concious spaceship, made by a merging of a human conciousness with an advanced AI system, produced after plans from the 2nd empire of man.

Alan, the 93rd Titan fabricated by the populace of Haven, protector and custodian of Atlantis.

The picture is sized so that one pixel is exactly 1,83m, Alan having an overall length of 1.5km

Being a Titan (currently the 4th refit version) means that he is originally designed as a warship. thus he is outfitted with complete military grade systems, including a full array of offensive and defensive weapons, an advanced matter/energy reactor, nano replication systems and a gravity intercalation drive.

Although Alan does not know much about his former self he doesn´t like the idea of being a warship, so in this reactionary state he perfers to hide his weapon systems, figthercraft and other fleet assets under his hull.
The slick and solid, silvers shining hull is completly his personal taste, a feat that is often smiled upon by some of the older titans, which, after millenia of service, have completly lost or abandoned their personal sense of fashion.

Alan is one of the few Titans that has no regular residents on board, not only because the populace of Atlantis has not yet reached its maximum, but also because sometimes he likes the solitude and silence this option gives him when re rises up into space at night to watch the stars.

Well anyways, i hope you like it
If anybody is interested i can also put the few chapter of the novel up aswell.
Only the first 4 are currently in a state where i would give them to the public for a read so its only 20 something pages.
If anybody is interested in a little Sci-Fi Saga just say so

hehe, seems like I'm not the only one with a book idea in his head. mine is probably something like a crossover of foundation and hw, but its really just the general plot line and background story that's defined, none of the characters or substory plots that reveal the overarching stuff. probably never will write it, but at least I got it to paper in time, before I forgot.

will read through your stuff, but not now, bit too busy.

I've got a book idea but I'm not going to be doing anything with it for quite a while at least (being a freshman workign your way through college doesn't leave a ton of free time to write). It would be a sort of philosophical comedy book (though not sci-fi so I'm not going to just being copying the late, great Douglas Adams). The basic outline is this, God is bored. He creates the universe and angels who have no free will. God amuses himself for a few eons with this but again grows bored. Satan, the smartest angels...which isn't saying much, comes up with the idea of giving a new creation free will. God still wants the creation to do what he wants though he finds the idea intriguing. Satan suggests that God should create a paradise where the creatures with free-will (provisionally called humans) can eat off any of hundreds of trees except one. This gives the humans a choice and thus free will but no rational creature would choose to defy their creator when they have so many other options and so God and the angels could entertain themselves by watching the humans not choose to eat off that tree. God is skeptical of the entertain value of that but decides he's got nothing to lose. Sortly thereafter, the humans (and in this story there is no deceiving serpent) eat off the forbidden tree. This is bad enough but then they start doing things God really doesn't want them to do (like one of their offspring commits murder on another). So God is angry at Satan for this bad turn of events. But God is a hands-off manager so he tells Satan to fix the problem since it was his idea. The rest of the book is a different take on history as Satan tries different tactics to get humans to do what God wants (like not killing each other, God may be bored but he's not evil)...and the humans keep screwing it up.

So that's my book idea.

I've got a book idea...words.....

This is a pretty good idea, but alternate-history fiction doesn't seem to have a market anymore. Mormonism and Scientology are relatively small. :D

Actually I liked the part where the history of how things became what they are now is told. An unseen enemy and humans fighting for their very survival.

Anyway Good Job so far. It takes dedication and alot of patience to write a book. So don't let the retards that give you crap influence you. If this is not their type of reading and enjoy winnie the pooh coloring books more they need say that politely. Instead of just calling your writing crap.
