What GalCiv quotes/events made you laugh?

Potentially very spoilerish, so don't read if you want to discover all the events by yourself.

- Engineers developing wormhole generators simply by watching re-runs of Deep Space Nine
- Drengin saying "I hope you brought chocolates today". Just seemed very un-Drenginish.
- The reference to Microsoft's incompetence in one of the comp tech descriptions
- The capturing pets using capture balls (?) event. I loved the evil option. "No way. I've got 80 out of 127 of em" (or something like that)

The description of Warp Drive technology was the first thing in the game to make me laugh- such classic technobabble, very funny!

The first one was in the Core Destabilization (I think that's the name of it) description from the invasion screen. "Planet-shattering kaboom", paraphrasing Marvin the Martian: "Where's the Earth-shattering kaboom? There was supposed to be an Earth-shattering kaboom!"

How about the evil choice for the Precursor factory? "And WHAT? I've told you before: people are a RENEWABLE resource."

In fact, many evil choices are funny.
Underwater domes: "Dump the underwater pukes. I need room for my chemistry set."
Boil plague: "We'll call it Boilshire Farms: Flesh Nectar. Only true suffering could produce a drink this refreshing."

Oh, and Shoujo, is the Microsoft reference the TerraWindows one? Is Microsoft run by aliens?

My personal favourite so far is the Matrix rip one of the AIs used when declaring war on me from a vastly overpowering position. "That is the sound of inevitability". I think it was the Arceans... picturing them saying that in Agent Smith's was just priceless. :D

I noticed that when I was fighting (and winning) a war with the Arceans, they started naming all their BattleCruisers "Die Humans!"

It's those kinds of little touches that give this game so much personality and make it a joy to play.
