Some dirt just sticks

there’s a wind
blowing
shaking fresh
green leaves
chasing the dirt
from the
air
the lack of
sun
is a melancholy
reminder
a paradigm of
sadness
to peer
thru
I would the
wind to blow
thru me
clean the dirt
from the vast
expanses
of my soul
and leave
me rain
fresh
I would the
moment release
regret
tear sorrow from
it’s foundations
and leave me
justified
I would the
night fall finally
to it’s end
that the morning
bring innocent
joy
sins forgiven and
forgotten
I would but
it won’t
no wind will
pierce the
hollowed halls
of sufferings
domain
some dirt just sticks
