Witcher - can't register the game

Sorry if this shows up more than once.  I posted this to the Witcher forum but it doesn't seem to have shown up.

I just downloaded and installed Witcher, via Impulse.  I double-clicked on the desktop icon left by the install process and I was guided through a multi-step process:  create a Witcher forum ID - Done.  The next step is "Enter  the CD Projeckt registration key" and this is where the problems start.  I tried using the key Stardock sent me via e-mail but it doesn't fit in the spaces provided.  The key Stardock sent has a six, hyphen separated, groups of characters.  The entry screen has five.

I've tried a couple of permutations of the key that Stardock sent but all I get in exchange is an error message that reads "Invalid CD Projekt RED registration key.  Check if you have typed it correctly.

Is the normal registration process superceded by the Impulse registration?

Any thoughts?
