A lot of melodrama over very little.

As others have pointed out, the new release hasn't been announced yet. A few tech-savvy users looking through the history notes figured out the mechanism.

The announcement and store link were scheduled to go up today but the plan has changed to simply add it to everyone's accounts with the consequence being that there will be no additional demigods or maps added since it is pretty clear that the amount of hostility would overcome any value of the additional content.

After all, if this is the response of a free Demigod being added to the game one can only imagine what the response would have been to content that cost money.

To be honest, the system with this patch was a big pain.

I do not have impules icon loaded by defaut, neither do i have steam, once per month i MAY** check impulse store, but would have probably missed the oculas anyhow. Finding some games for sale on impulse is also tricky sometimes.

Just to let you know, impulse still need a ways to go to be as good as steam, until then just NOT ANNOUNING content and expecting people to RANDOMLY STUBLE upon it wont work.

If you have new content (free or not) bloody well advertise it, sing it to the heavens! (and make the steps a little less involved) Like who right clicks on DG icon on impulse store anyhow? Then realise to "view history"?

Yes. As I just said, that was the plan. The update was released last night with the announcement going up today. In the history notes it mentioned Oculus and how to get him early.

The announcement originally scheduled for today would link to the download area here on Demigod's website which would have let users add it to their account right from the page.
