I am interested in buying a samsung 40' HD tv, however I do not think of getting the HD signal just yet because of the cost in getting the decoder.

I am wondering if anybody could tell me what kind of image I will be getting on this new tv if I only have a digital signal from Videotron (my cable provider)

Will it be same worse or better than before.

I also wonder, compared to my ormal tv, what can I expect when I plug in my Xbox and my wii on this nw hd tv.

I put up a link to the tv I want if anybody is interested in checking it out.

Thanks

should have no problems, many channels don't put out an HD signal anyways or have a seperate channel exsclusive for it

as for the console game systems I don't know, I don't mess with them

I have a 46 inch hd TV and the digital channels come in crystal clear hd quality on mine

the standard channels look decent also I find them of equal quality to the old crt type tv I had

now the game consoles are different it depends mainly on what resolution the game is made for but, most hd tv you can change the setting via the remote like 480p,720p,1080i etc. Although these settings are dependent on how the sepcific tv you buy is set up also.

for game play I recommend spending the few extra dollars and make sure you get one with 120mhz or higher refresh rate.
