The eternal blue/gray dilemma

It's a scientifically proven fact that computer interfaces using a blue and gray color scheme are the most comfortable to use for the majority of users. Despite this, whenever a blue/gray skin is created you always get a few comments about how bad the colors are to use.

What colour scheme are you most comfortable with on your desktop on a day-to-day basis, and why?

blue and/or gray and/or both. easy on the eyes is my reasoning.

Light blue, white, and light grey

They are a little bright at night but the nicest overall.

I liked the following WB's...

Krem, Micron2, Brown SugarII, Landing Zone, Synapse, Desertwind and a few others are those that seem to be easy on my eyes. Soft, blended natural colors are best for me.
Not too dark and not too bright or complicated, just simple and easy yet not bland or mushy either. There must be enough well thought out details to hold my attention.
But then I have times when I will use something like T3, and Borg for a time.
I do modify any colors until it suits me, and I must say, I have changed many skin colors for my personal use.

I tend to prefer the warmer, earthy colors. All things else being equal (usability, clarity, etc), blue is one of my least favorites.

It's hard to say, but blue and gray are definitely 2 of my favorites.

Both colors are soothing and relaxing while say, red, is not. Walk into somebody's house with blue carpets and then red. Chances are, with the blue, you'll feel relaxed immediately on a subconscious level while this same effect wouldn't happen with the red .

I have a tendency to fall back on blue and gray, but I'll try beige, maroon, purple (light not deep), black, white. I'll try anything once.

I like Blue, White, and Red. (No, I don't work for the government, I swear!)

Muted colors, regardless of the color. I do love shades of blue though.

Grays are ok, but they should be more like a color-gray, not pure gray. Also, I think that grays should not be the basis for skins, but for details. Large areas of gray (to me) are ugly and annoying.

It's not a scientificcally proven fact that blue/gray are the preferred colours. It's a scientifcially proven fact that most people have bad taste.

/me @ craeonics, but is it bad taste or merely uneducated taste?

Amending my previous post, purely gray skins can be wonderful. See Judge's iSkin for an example, goes to show that gray can be good if you have a high level of detail.
