I have to agree for the most part the rating system is nice. It gives you some sense of what people think of your work other than the comments alone. Although the comments are of the utmost importance in my opinion. I have noticed though with many other skinners work that you will have a very nicely designed and working skin that ends up with a well deserved rating. As it should be yes? Then you find a little while later the comments have not gone up but the skins rating has gone down quite a bit. This leads me to believe that people are rating skins without even trying them, just looking at the preview and rating it. Or, worse than that purposely giving someone a lower rating because they do not like them for some reason or another. This is when the rating system does not work. Unfortunately, some people have their preferences set that they do not see a skin below a certain rating and because someone came along and did this to your work your skin will not even be viewed by some people. This itself is not fair to the skinner and all the hours of work they put into their skin. So I guess in closing, I just want to say to anyone who has done this to someone please try to remember that there is a real person with real feelings behind the skin you just gave a bad rating just for the short term pleasure you took in doing so.

Where the hell do you people find all the time to type this much explaining and/or whining??? Perhaps if some of you put this much effort into a skin/wallpaper/relationship/whatever, this thread would not have gotten as large as it has.

Where the hell do you people find all the time to type this much explaining and/or whining??? Perhaps if some of you put this much effort into a skin/wallpaper/relationship/whatever, this thread would not have gotten as large as it has.


umm I have nothing better to do and since WC is my home away from home and I consider you my family, where else should I be?

so I act like a kid. I am a kid. 27 is young. I love it here, and this is what I look forward to each day.

If anyone has a reason to be mad at me or is mad at me tell me about it.

(I try so hard to contribute but I am at a loss. Other than being the village idiot and giving everyone a laugh, what do I contribute?

Singling out an individual for public insult, ridicule and/or misquoting is not acceptable behaviour here, just as with any other public societal interaction.

The only reason this is allowed to continue here is the target appears to be myself, and I am more interested in the maintenance of the 'public good', in benefitting this community and not interested in personal counter-attack/response.

If anyone is attempting to get a 'rise' out of me they will be sadly disappointed.

I strongly suggest, however to re-evaluate motivation/s for public flaming prior to its continuance.

Jafo, I would like to apologize again for even starting this thread. Reading what you just said came to mind the many other times you have had to post pretty much the same thing. It seems every time there is another batch of newbies this happens. I have not been posting on the board very much lately and did not that in to consideration that there are once again people who do not know you and the way you work/run things on this board.
To those of you reading this. Jafo is the most fair and level headed person on this site but anyone one person can take so much. Personally attacking him over something that you started because you were not paying attention to what this thread was really about in totally out of line. I myself am very surprised that you have not already been booted which goes to show how much Jafo with put up with before he pushed the exile button.
This has happened with other new members that think that everything should go the way they think things should be. Most have come to realize very quickly that it is not the way is is going to happen and become upstanding members of the site. Others, well were never really heard from again because they just did not want to play fair.
So, why don't you go back to you perspective playpens and think about what you really want.
A: To keep causing trouble by insulting Admins and moderators and end up with no one here wanting to speak to you in the future. "Makes it kind os lonely here"
or
B: Let this go and get on with becoming a valued member of this site. Now, I am not saying that means you have to keep your mouth shut. But please think before you speak, it really makes a big difference.

Boy, I wish typing this out made me feel better but it really doesn't because I should never had to have done it.

If or when the time come I believe the person who started the thread can ask for it to just disappear.
Jafo, when ever you feel it necessary please push the "Poof be gone" button on this thread.
