/me checking in to say Hi! God was good to me through both hurricanes. My home had no damage, and this last time, I never even lost power. But the tv sure was boring for 4 days straight! Non-stop continuous live coverage of the storm and what was going on....24 hours a day! I'm kidding, there...the news people did an excellent job of keeping the central Florida area informed about the storms. There are many people around here who have lost everything, and then there are some who may yet be affected because of the flooding of the rivers that won't crest until this coming saturday.

I've been wondering how Mr. Leo-the-lion is doing....he had been thinking of getting a home near Cocoa Beach, and they got hit hard. Of course, if he was on duty on the Disney Cruise ship, then he got an extra long voyage this time! Has anyone heard from him lately? Thank you!

IP was in chat last evening, and said he'd weathered the storms safely as well.
I have been keeping an eye on Ivan kona, it's the first one that's track has the potential to effect my area.

All of us Floridians need all the prayers and good thoughts we can get down here....we've been having the must un-welcome tourists this year, you know what with, Bonnie, Charley & Frances...we don't want to talk about Ivan coming!

Wulfn1 I checked you profile and could you please tell me what WB that is of your desktop? Very pretty! I like purple!!!! Right now, I'm using Mr. Mormegil's Last colored purple....looks great, but I'm always on lookout for new purple WB's! As a matter of fact, that is what brought me to Stardok and WB...Mr. Bill's taste appears to be all in his mouth when it comes to choices of Windows colors...blue, silver, and olive green! Ugh! I'm glad to hear you're doing well. We just wired funds to hubby's uncle in pensacola today, they spent all the money they had on hotel during evac , and came home to spoilt food in fridge

Hi Miss Sapphira & Miss Wulfn1! I wasn't bothered by Ivan...I live in the central Florida area....and guess whats headed this way again????? Sheesh! We have had enough already with these storms this year....the folks on the central east coast have had one awful summer this year. I heard a lady on the news tonight say she was about ready to leave the state! Thank you for the prayers....we all need them. One of the after-effects of all the storms is millions of 'skeeters! They showed on the news tonight that they set up a light trap last night, and in the morning they had caught over (I think! I was shocked at the amt!) either 9,500 or 95,000 in one trap! They said they usually would only get about a thousand overnight. Needless to say, we don't need anymore water added to what is already standing on the ground. The swamp that Florida was dredged from is trying to reclaim itself!

Thank you Wulfn1 for letting me know about your screenshot...I believe I have that WB in my collection already. I seem to have a preference for Mormegils Last WB tinted purple! Looks cool, and is very clean to use.

Glad to hear your husband's uncle had a home to come back to in Pensacola...there are alot of folks who don't! That storm sure did a number on the coastline up there....including wiping out the I-10 bridge in real short order....that is alot of power in water and wind!

Well, if anyone would like to have fun learning how to swim in their own backyards, without benefit of a pool, come on down to Florida! The swamp is open!

I see Ivan's back and that Jeanne is coming. You guys stay safe OK? I'll be thinking of you all down there.

Well, that 24hr contiuing live hurricane channel is back! At least if this one comes thru here on schedule, it will be in the daylight when it passes by....better than being in the dark and hearing the wind howling around your home! Eeeccckkk! Don't like that at all! Thanks for the prayers, I know that all will be well here again....Father God has more than proven to me that He will take good care of my and my family! Praise God for His goodness and love!!!!! And praise Him for the precious blood of Jesus, it's covering is awesome and so gooooooood! Thank You Jesus for what you have done for me!!!!!
