Close Combat to Destineer

<FONT face=Arial color=#000000 size=2>Atomic Games, developer of the Close Combat series, has just been purchased by their latest publisher, Destineer. Atomic Games first game, V for Victory, was released in 1992 and numerous other strategy games have come since. Their most successful games have been from the Close Combat series, selling over 1.2 million copies since its launch in 1996. <BR><BR>The two companies are currently working on a new RTS based on the Closed Combat franchise and a novel by Larry Bond, Closed Combat: Red Phoenix. Destineer hopes to publish the game in early 2006 for unspecified platforms. <BR><BR>This is the second developer Destineer has purchased in the last few years.
