Winterblade I like that idea. That might work too. We, "do," need to let the politicians know that we do not appreciate, this kind of campaigning.
Insightful

Another very good point Shozan.
Sally You are soooooooo right! There is no such thing as an, "act of God," any more. Some human has to be responsible for my accident. I can remember, Brother Jeffries, turning around and nuckling, some one in the head with a, black board eraser, for fooling around in his class. Oh my Gawd! Could you imagine if that happened today? The students parents would own the school. The fat lady in Denny's is a hoot. Denny's sh
Karma Girl I'm with you. Throw them both out, and start all over. Let's get a couple of adults in this election. Jill I can sympathize with your position. I get, burned out, from all the ragging on one other as well. I too am looking forward to the debates, although, I'm a bit concerned why Bush has already pulled out of one of them. I believe that the debates are going to be the clinture for a lot of folks. <
Deference Thank You. I figured that this was something that we all should be aware of, but few are. Bill Bradley has is made, and as of recent, so does John Edwards. Tell your friends about it or forward this piece to them via email. Have a great day.
I've been wondering, are Political Polls really helpful? Are we getting more information then we need? How many times have your heard, "No, I'm not going to vote, my candidate has it in the bag. "Or vise-versa, "No, my candidate hasn't got a chance in hell." I mean, if the results of a game are already known, why play? It's not like sports, where you get a
2004 Election Issue!! This must be an issue in "2004". Please! Keep it going. ---------------------------------- SOCIAL SECURITY: (This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.) Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course,
Gidean Oh Yeah! I forgot about the accidental, (read: suspicious) drowning over the side of the dang bridge. Sorry about that!
Ok Gideon You've aroused my curiosity. Where do you live? Not your address, the state or general area will do. I'm thinking it's Texas, being you're allowed to pack "heat". Yes? No? Maybe? Where ever it is, it sounds like a great place to, set up house-keeping.
Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics: * 29 have been accused of spousal abuse *7 have been arrested for fraud * 19 have been accused of writing bad checks * 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses * 3 ha
Thanks Little_whip I'm glad to hear that some are still willing to take a chance, toward a great experience. I think the odds are 1 in 10 that something bad will happen. To many, those odds are too steep to take chance and I can sympathize with their concern. To me, if you give me, Vegas odds, of being successful 90% of the time, I will take that gamble. The personal rewards make the experience well worth the effort.
Very well put Sally There is a huge difference between debating and arguing. I am aware of the specific incident that you, (are not) referring to. Very diplomatic on your part. Good job. To argue over each line in particular Post is a waste of time and it has a tendency to become personal. Getting personal has no place, when debating. I also agree with you, that your forum is your house. "You are all invited, but do
Gideon I haven't been to Vegas in some time now. Is it really become that bad?
Shovelbeat Good suggestion my friend. Yes, I've heard of that (the fake break-down) happenging around my city too. I guess we have to be on our toes all the time. We can't take things on how they appear anymore. Never the less, because of this caution that we are forced to endure. we are missing out on so many opportunities to interact with one another. <
No! This piece is not about terrorism from abroad. Rather, it's about the paranoia that persists and how we relate to one another here at home. I was out riding my bike today. (It helps with stress, the bonus is, it keeps my weight within 8 lbs. of my 21st birthday.) :-) Anyway, while on my ride, I came upon this young boy that had
Sally Jacobs Yes, I can appreciate your concern with, walking down a street alone, with a man, that merely happens to be going in the same direction. I've been that man at one time or another. I've crosssed the street, just to relieve a womans stress factor when I sense worry. Caution! Caution! Caution! .......and that goes double for woman. Honestly! I wish that I could put all this, craziness, back in it's box and,
Covert II Thanks for the nice words. But be careful though as the word, (chicks) is not politically correct in todays world. But please, should you come across someone that looks like they could use a bit of help, never be afraid to offer your assistance. They may say, No! But then again,............... However, understand that I am not suggesting that we walk into the line of fire. We don't need to lose any of the "good
Did I produce this "Post" at a bad time?
What? No one was up to taking a little quiz?
There is a difference between debating and arguing. Some debates get personal and deteriorate into an exchange of useless verbage.

Whoops! Long Beach is what??? I only ask because I don't know. The ex-g/f never seems to really complain. Well except about the "Grand Prix." She hates the noise and the traffic. I've tried to relate to her that that is the only time that cars can go fast in California. Say, being that your so honest, why don't you run for governor and send "Arnold
Great article! I have given you an, "insightful," on this one. I get the impression that some people feel, that if you don't think like them, that you're an "idiot" or that you must belong to the "other side." Sure, I've seen some of your "Posts" that may stray off the beaten path a bit, but that's ok. We're not going to agree with everyone all the time. To my way of thinking, the world is not, black & whit
I have an ex-girl friend that lives out there in Long Beach. We're still good buds, so we talk on the phone once and week and send emails. (less expensive) I've read several of your articles now and you have provided me with more info about the California Scene then she ever has. I'm going to have to ask her about some of this stuff. Boy! She'll be shocked on what I know, huh? I read several major newspapers, at least the, headlines
