A friendly question in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Ive noticed when I was playing that getting allies in galciv2 was real easy. It finally dawned on me that in galciv1 you had to be "close" to form allies, and now I can form alliances when the AI is "friendly". There was only one time the game did no not give me an alliance option when the AI was friendly, and that was with the Torians. I had to wait to we were close. Is this a bug or working as intended.

Note: Your sphere of influence is NOT your territory. Are there territory borders? I'm not sure how that works. I do think that if an AI parks a starbase with in 1 turn worth of travel time, or parks some military ships in front of one of my planets, I consider him in my territory. Personally as playing a peaceful civ most of the time I would like an option to tell them to get out before I have to go to war. More diplomacy in general would be nice.

Its been said before, but I would definitely like more interactivity with the UP. Half the time it seems like the proposals put out are just to screw with the player. Another thing mentioned before that would be nice is more interactive diplomacy. All its good for now is basically trading. It would be nice if we could send hate or love messages like the AI does

I think they should add multiplayer connectivity only as a part of an expansion pack, and let the community mod the game to play MP the way they want to. That way most of Stardock's time is spent improving the SP game that we all paid for, and those that want MP would have it too.

My only concern, like others, is that this content would be part of an expansion pack down the line. I'd pay nine bucks, but not twice. It should be part of an expansion not a seperate leech of money.

Without reading anyones comments. I will say NO to selling shippacks. I'll pay for the game(which is awesome bty), I'll pay for an expansion, But I will not pay for basically custom content. The fanbase can and will do a great job creating ships and other free content. I feel you companys time would be more wisely spent on creating patches, additions( like telling the AI to get off your property without going to war) and expansions. I<

I would like the ability to tell other races to get thier ships out of my area, and other such options. It would be more realistic, and be a good diplopmatic option.

(Free Beer) Question about custom ships in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

the first game I played I created 3 custom ships. I startd my second game, but cannot choose already created ships. Do I have to wait until research all the techs used to build the old ships, or do I have to create new ones. Also is there a way to only use the games ships. The only ships available to me were Defender and Star Fury, and I was pretty far down the research tree. Thanks

Hello I finally found the game in my area yesterday, and Im currently on my first game. My question is where are the little powerups ( that give bonsus) that you can pick up while exploring. Are they in the game, or did I not adjuxst a silder correctly before starting? Thanks.

Thats awesome, and I dont even think its at all stores nationwide yet. Theres none in Raleigh NC yet, as far as I have checked. Looking forward to getting it soon.
