Well I can honestly say I sent identical Emails concerning several issues to stardock support Pixtudio support AND an email to Alexandrie over a month ago. To date had one response from stardock that custom color never worked between WB and OB. Other than that the ONLY sup[port responses I have gotten are from fellow users here and in Stardocks groups. I havent lamblasted anyone only asked for the things to be looked at concerning the 40+ errors that show when one analyzes the skin, a few of the

Anyway yes I understand that you make a project to a customers order and that was all but don't you also , at the same time as makeing the theme, have a concern for issues that are not part of the changes they made to WB? Exactly, most of us understand that some of the things were changed in programs NOT in the theme creators control and we aren't "Blaming" anyone. We are hopeing to hear that they do plan to refresh it to make sure any missing grapic's are back and any changes made in wb4 that broke things fixable are fixed...thats all Im asking for anyway. That a cursor theme, logins, WMP and a few others mentioned at diff times might come at some point are extra's appreciated but not required or part of what I

zman, perhaps he could of used a diffrent word from complete but there are issues with the skin besides the one issue you mention. Not only is the one image messed up for log off also missing things like custom color Task panel or Dropdown box's, No transparency to address bar type dropdowns as well (ie instead of a nice button on a colored taskbar I get a Blue taskbar with a Grey boxed yellow button with a RED edge strip) and a few other minor things. Well, the apology is a start just remember ppl here as a rule are friendly so tend to not take rudeness well is all. Anyway some steps to understand skins a bit more 1) get a proggy like Skinstudio and read its help files 2) visit a few of the skin sites and read their faq's, also think Stardock has one as well. 3) DL a skin similar to what you want to do. oh I know and in fact is why I mentioned they (the errors/bugs) were due to changes in WB not you or your art. There are a few peices of art missing tho that be nice to have for custom color color tho, I duped the images and edited em and the theme to fix for myself but took forever for me to figure out a way to do it and not mess up the rest of the stuff hehe.

I love Toon myself and hope they do a "facelift" myself. Now that WB4 is officially out they can go in and clean up the new/old errors in the skin, some of which Im sure are due to changes made during various steps in wb beta. One thing Id really like to see is a completely seprate OB theme file where every bit of the graphics it uses are stored seprately. Then I could just open the Dir and repaint everything blue to match Custom Toon in blue hehe. As is Ive been able to edit it a little bit so

Yeah I think its one of things where its gonna depend on each situation. Im sure ads for stuff having nothing to do with skinning will be a nogo but in cases like the guy with the organizer he is trying to spark intrest in makeing new skins.

Well to be fair in a way he's really just trying to interest some skinners in doing skins for his proggy which isnt that bad a request and he is offering something for their efforts at least. I say unless he spams the group its not so big a deal. well see that fits with what SD has told me but someone here swore it did work and posted a pic of their desktop so just wondering how they did it then.If I try to use the SS color skin feature then I get purple buttons intead of it keeping the yellow and just replaceing the red with blue

Okay a while back when I posted about having problems with manually coloring toonxp someone explained how make toonXP use custom colors. I then posted that my OB displayed as black instead of reflecting the WB colors. Anyway someone said it did work and posted a pick of their desktop with it working. Unless your offended that ppl think its offensive to use the word Gay as derogitory or insult.ie How dare someone say its wrong to put down gays, thats your God Given Right. I have em associated in my mind as I bought Toon via here and from here went and bought ODN so sort of see em as one when in reality they are not. That said I too can say am fustraited with Toon. I bought it first then because of it ODN. Now have ODN which Im happy with and a paid for theme that has problems/issues/missing graphic files/

You don't have to buy anything. The theme will run fine with the s/w versions of the apps Toon-XP takes advantage of which is what they advertised. No need to be mad because of limitations on autostarting the s/w apps (if the s/w worked exactly like the registered version why would anyone register?) I don't know but can DesktopX s/w version be started by a shortcut in start up or is that a no go?

Sorry phone rang and brain passed fingers by with three thoughts at once hehe. like the log off missing regular or custom colors, displays as grey fixable IF you rename the backup shutdown to xplogoff_bg.bmp other wise it shows as Grey with colored buttons.
