Note that patch 1.06 has just been released. A download link is given on the official forum: http://forum.vertex4.com/viewtopic.php?t=1144 The patch is compatible with the Totalgaming.net version.

Yes. There is. If you want to buy something with tokens, you should always go to the totalgaming.net purchase page: http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=gc2ta
Uncheck the show pre-release version checkbox, then update dread lords.
This means you should check the show-prerelease versions before trying to begin the download.
The ai is dynamic, so yes, you should be able to create a tech tree from scratch assign it to a custom race and have it use it, yes. But, as you can see on that screenshot, the tech information contains some ai only information to help it make its decisions: - A willingness to trade slider - An AI priority value - An AI category option, that tells it what kind of research it is. So you would have to make the tech tree properly, in a way the ai can understand it. But provided
If I remember correctly preordering with tokens will give you beta access even if the beta is already closed. As such, you should still be eligeble to participate in the beta.
That 'piston.zip' wasn't corrupted when I downloaded it.
Hmm. Would it be possible to add a visible/invisible option for parts? (And an option to show invisible parts in the ship editor.). Such an option can be used to: - Create back and forth moving parts, without visible helping objects. - Allow spacing to different locations, without having ugly objects that shouldn't be there. - Add modules for stat-purposes, without having them visible. Now, most of those things can be done by making a custom invisible bar with some hard
It is a fun game. But unfortunately, there are quite a few annoying bugs at the moment. The developers are hard at work fixing them however. Also, the control scheme is rather peculiar; Not bad, but quite unusual. I'd recommend you get the game when the major bugs are fixed.
Thanks for the quick resolution. The new update solved the problem.
There is a problem with your sunage install: You fail to create the 'UserData' subdirectory when installing. This means the creation of profiles in SunAge will fail. (Which means you cannot start the campaign.) Of course, you can easily create the directory manually, but you will have to know that is the problem... I had to use filemon to see where the profile creation went wrong. Mind fixing that?
By the way, its kind of hard to place parts onto a moving object.
Which is why there is a 'pause animation' button.
Did you try registering the serial in sdcentral?
Can't you just select the 'all' tab under available projects, on the planet screen to show the 'overwritten' improvements again?.
There still seems to be a standalone patch for 1.4. The difference between 1.4 and 1.5 is mostly some Dark Avatar compatibility updates, so that should work fine. [link="https://www.galciv2.com/CollectorsEdition/"]Download page[/link] Of course, the link is only visible if you have registered your serial number, and are logged in with your account. The "Galactic Civilizations II Bonus Pack:" there links to "GalCiv2_140X_102606.exe" which seems to be the 1.4 standalone patch. Since the cu
The text is black on black again, in the journal section.
The registry entries were a bit different too. It seems I made a small mistake in posting the previous instructions, so here is the full data exported from my registry. This is definitely correct. Just edit the path to match your installation directory, save it to galciv.reg in notepad or something and double-click the resulting file to import it. That way nothing can go wrong. Remember to set the version numbers to the correct numbers too, otherwise you still cannot update since SDCentr
It IS available through SDCentral for every non-beta release. It's that "Game History" button in the bottom of the screen when you select a game. The one beneath the price in tokens.
Try using regedit. The relavant key is HKLM\Software\Stardock\Drengin.net\GC2 The string values in that key should be: "Exe", the executable that is run when choosing run application is SDCentral "Path", the path to the installed game directory "Type", must be "Beta" or "Production" "Updated", when have you last updated the game. Format is M/D/YY "Version", the currently installed version. Only Path is truly important, I think. "Version" must be less than current
Yes it is capped at 2000. That cap however, is easily moddable for single player. Look in Sins of a Solar Empire\GameInfo\gameplay.constants file and maxshipslots is the first entry to edit.
As you can see in the big list , there is already an expansion bundle available 40 dollars. You can buy it here .
You can. Eula quote: "YOU MAY: 1. Install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer. 2. Install a second copy of the SOFTWARE on a second computer only if you are the main user of this computer (home computer or laptop for example)."
The gold edition is indeed not sold in Europe. If you buy galciv2 in Sweden, you should not buy the gold edition from this site, but the dark avatar expansion pack, since that will be cheaper. After all, you would already own the main game. The old manual is rather outdated, so I doubt it'll be that much use. The gold edition manual will however be included as pdf when you download/patch the game though. (Regardless of whether you actually bought the gold edition)
