That has happened in my last 2 pantheon games as well. I think it is a bug with the new .93 patch. I think I`ll leave this game for awhile. I`m pretty sure they`re going to reset the ladder, My stat`s aren`t accurate anyway.
I would expect something as friendly for BioWare's Dragon Age
I highly doubt this will happen. One of the recent post`s in Etrius`s thread made mention of the demographic diffrence`s between game`s. The Sim`s series are always high on PC sale`s chart`s. This is a blanket statement I`m about to make. The Sim`s is a far more "casual" series then Bioware product`s. I don`t think Sim`s customer`s care to much about DRM or r
The claims about how name-calling and anti-social behavior are rampant are seriously overblown.
I believe you. I think I was stereotyping the MP communtiy with past experience`s. I should not have posted that. EDIT worst loosers i've ever seen in mp After reading this post, I`m rethinking the above.
"online DRM" from Microsoft
What is this? I haven`t heard of it. Do you have a link where I could get a little more infromed on this?
However, cracking the GOO'd EXE seems to be less complex than the more overbearing DRM, and pirating intelectual property is still a big issue for many concerned publishers out there.
It`s not about stopping pirate`s, From my understanding. There is no stopping pirate`s. It`s about giving publisher`s "some" protection. It`s really about making it less painful for the "paying" customer`s.

Didn`t Valve(Steam) just announce something very similar yeterday? I`m glad the competition is fierce. We`ll all be the better for it.
But don't you think single players run the risk of getting bored playing against the predictable AI? Also, wouldn't it be more satisfying to know that you took down a worthwhile opponent (a human intelligence)?
You`ve almost sold me.
If developpers (as in programmers & coders & designers) can cut their titles manufacturing cost sooooooo much by going the digital ways for distribution instead of sharing (handing over, maybe) HUGE chunks of some profits to WallyMarty & who else in order to give gamers, faster, better more innovative products
New game release`s on Steam or any other DL service are no cheaper then boxed version`s. The title of my post may have been a little misleading. I`ve been to all the store`s mentioned above, It`s not that I just can`t find PC game`s at retail anymore. It`s the quality in which theyre released. Example, Call of Duty 4, It came in a box when I purchased it. It included a DVD jewel case and a 10 page install, Keyboard layout guide. That left me feeling a little empty. I would use Baldur`s gate 2 as a comparison. It included a 260 pg spiral b

I remember when I first started playing electronic games. I was 8 year`s old. My dad was obsessed with getting the high score on Pac-man at our local arcade. So, Pop`s took me along for the trip. This is when my own obsession started. I loved the arcade. Dad was on Pac-man, I was on Punch out, Karate champ, Pro wrestling or whatever it was called. Then Double dragon, Slaughterhouse, TMNT arcade and T2. I finally got an NES for christmas

Thanks for the reply`s. I apologize for going off topic in this thread. I have another question now.
I maintain separate partitions for: * the operating system

* system pagefile
How can this be done? Woudn`t each partition have to have the OS and page file present in each parttiion?
For me, it's because I like to have my program files on a separate partition from my games. My games are all on one partition
I`m just curious, Why do this? Does it improve performance? I guess if the hard drive was partioned into smaller sections the pc could access files faster, I think.

A stardock developed Star Control (real)3 would go right too the top of the list. The first time I played Star Control 2 was on my 3DO. It was and still is the BEST game I`ve ever played. Oh, System Shock 3 would be OK too...
I think this is another classical example of what can infuriate people to resort to piracy.
People don`t resort to piracy because they`re infuriated, They do it because they`re deadbeats. People want things for nothing. No one want`s to work for anything anymore. I think PC piracy is a syptom of societal decay. What happened to honour, Taking a man`s word as gold. It`s gone.
I like how buying a used copy of a game is suddenly some fucking heinous, immoral and borderline criminal act
Unfortunetly that`s the way it is now. You cannot buy a used PC game anymore. You`re not paying for the game, That`s console gamming. PC gamming, You`re paying for the serial #. I understand why you`re upset, I would be too. If you`re going to play games on you`re PC, This is the way it is.
In keeping with what Lucas said, why not sell a new serial key for a small charge?
This wouldn`t work. Anyone can download the game via torrent, Then write to support that they purchased it 2nd hand. The serial key is what you`re actually paying for. You would give people/deadbeats an ability to get the game at a fraction of the cost. DO NOT BUY USED PC GAMES
