Is there any chance this could be taken further, beyond a simple constant rotation? Components that could oscillate (in the manner of pistons) would be a great addition, ...
You can already do that. [link="http://rapidshare.de/files/37956692/piston.zip.html"]Here is a template[/link] with a part moving back and forth. (sorry for the rapidshare link ;( ) The simple rotating parts provide a LOT of new optinons.

There should be no movement bug in 1.8d but it had another bug that caused a crash while creating new games. Those bugs seem to be fixed in 1.8f which is availabe [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=274&aid=167594"]here[/link].

A new update for DA is avaible on SDC. I guess it is supposed to fix the crashing savegames bug. It does not seem to work with old saves. A list of changes should be up soon. EDIT: [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?aid=167153#comments"]Here[/link] it is. Thanks Stardock! I wonder how they do that in between the TA betas. Frogboy must have "tied the developers to their desks".
So is it supposed to work this way for the Korx?
Yes, and it works the same way for any other race.
"As far as I know, you have to lose 2 ships on the same route to have it cancel in most cases."
The trade route (meaning: the mini freighter) has to be attacked and defeated twice before the route is canceled. If you have the privateer, the mini freighters will become invincible.

Posting images Since the betas the remaing movement points aren't updated in realtime. I always have to click the selected ship or fleet again to see how many moves it has left. Is that only me or do you all get that?

You can only pick your alignment when you just researched Xeno Ethics. BTW.: In the Battle of Gods scenarion in DA you don't have the new techs (like Power Plants and the colonization techs) at the start.
