Please know that BootSkin for XP is no longer supported and is a free software to try at your own risk. The alternate versions are the only two available and if they do not work it is unlikely that you will be able to run Bootskin for XP. Sorry for the troubles.

While your subscription to Object Desktop is running you get all of the major software updates for free and any new programs that are included in the bundle. Theme Manager should be listed under the MyDesktop tab of Impulse. Under the Stardock Orb in the top left of Impulse click there and make sure that 'show hidden...' is checked just in case you hid the application. MyColors will work with XP. What theme are you having troubles with? Or is it all of them?
If you wish to use the current version through Stardock Central you can get SDC though here: http://sd.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe What you need to know is that if you use this beta once the next version comes out through Impulse you will need to uninstall Object Dock, restart, then reinstall to the Impulse version. Please also know that this is a much older version of Object Dock, and betas are use at your own risk as always.
Glad to hear it! Please look for any further updates through the Community portions of Impulse. Once the next version is available you can update to it and you then may or may not wish to keep betas an option through Impulse.

You can look through the ObjectDock library for further docklets to try and install them.

I am reporting it up to find out of there is some insight from the developers on this.
One thing that might work as a simple thing to try first. -Go into the install directory -Create a shortcut to the .exe file of the message software and leave it where it is. -Drag it onto the dock to make a shortcut of a shortcut. See if that works for you.

The free version of Object Dock does not have multiple docks or tabbed docks I'm afraid. The Plus version contains this and several more additional features.
Please note that we develop with XP 32bit and Vista 32 and 64bit in mind. We no longer develop for XP 64bit OS installs. I just wanted to put that out for people looking for further clarification. Please let me know if you have other questions.
Likely this is some kind of corrupted install. Please uninstall Impulse, restart your machine, then reinstall using this link: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe
Wrigleys - I can provide you with an update package that occured previous to your subscription running out. We do this in increments from time to time for just this reason. If you write into [email protected] I'll link to you the archive and the means/instructions on how to restore it.

I found your ticket and we will be doing a follow up on the matter today. It was posted in pending status by a support member that is no longer with us and simply fell through the cracks. We will revisit it for you and get it cleared as soon as possible. Sorry for the trouble.
There is a Beta available through Impulse. Please make sure that you have checked the show pre release option under the preferences and then update to the latest version Impulse presents. This beta seems to be working for most users. Please let us know if you have further troubles.

I double checked through our email systems looks like the situation was cleared. We didn't receive a response back saying that it was but due to the time between this posting and the last email reply I assume that you are all set. Try clearing your cookies or even switch browsers to IE ver 7. If you still have troubles let me know and I can try to change your icon from this end. I just changed mine in testing and it seems to be working well from this end.
