When it's time to build a ship on a planet, focus it to mil. Then all 49% from soc and a portion of the 50% from research will go into mil spending on that planet.

Actually, via the cheat system you should be able to recreate this easily. Plant a spy on a planet that is about to flip to an opponent, then swap to that opponent's race and save the game. Make sure the planet will be flipping by making it deep in their influence aura.
And that is only due to the way Influence and Morale are calculated. The reasons Research/Manufacturing capitals (or any other % based building for them) don't work is that their tiles only multiply a number, not a %. Whereas Morale and Influence are completely % based and thus their tiles will recocognize the % on the building.
When in doubt, right click on your hard drive in My Computer, choose Search and then search for debugg.err. It'll find it [e digicons][/e] , just make sure it's the right one (aka, check the date modified). The locations should be as follows: Dread Lords: My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 Dark Avatar: My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar Twilight of the Arnor: My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor For some reason though, I thought Vista was tossi
Labs do research. Factories either build buildings, build ships, or return their funding to the economy if neither ships nor buildings are being built on that planet. However, a factory can do research and a lab build ships/buildings...but at a reduced rate. Therein lays the idea of all-x. I gave the option about 1/49/50 split of mil/soc/res due to a 1:1 ratio of planetary focus of mil to soc and vice versa. At least in that split you are only runnin
Go 1% mil, 49% soc, 50% research. Then focus your planets. At least then you got a 50:50 ratio. The other option is the "All-X" strategy. Check out the strat forum and look for that. Essentially it's just building one type of building, only putting the sliders to that type of spending and then focus planets to the other when need be.
I didn't see it on the list, but I've been told it's on a bug list internally or such... The bug in which passive (empire wide) spies will not be refunded like planetary spies when a race ceases to exist. They however continue to work their magic and still gain intel levels on the dead race.
Now, that doesn't stop them from buying the tech once someone else researches it.... I did get to pull that off one game as Evil Thalans and some other race got Concepts of Malice researched. Buying that MCC outright that week hurt my budget...but I felt better about it afterwards (this was prior to the fixed MCC went into play).
The Thalans loose out on those Xeno Ethics techs, but they get entirely new trees depending on which they chose.
Alterians do as well...but I think it's only if the go as Good, there is no neutral/evil techs.
@ Loupdinour, Oh really! Well, we will be watching. Aren't Saints good?
Yes...especially when they just finished eating limes....to go with that 5th I just drank of Cuervo....
St Cuervo....now THATs a saint I'd be more than willing to pay omage to every day!
Well, the word "soon" is non-quantifiable (is that a word?). So it may mean next week, next month, next quarter... They initially planned to have it out the other month (past) but Demigod tripped up the team that was going to be working on the GC2 patch I beleive. They'll get it out when they are done with it. Until then, I'm enjoying the sun/outside whenever I'm not working. That and Plants vs Zombies.....damn you.....damn you!!!!
Jan 2007 seems a bit old for drivers for you, even my 5200 has newer. Check out http://laptopvideo2go.com/drivers to see if they got newer video drivers for you.
Try matching the game's resolution with your desktop resolution, see if that gets you anything different.
Or how their xp table was just a straight up +250k to level, instead of the doubling the pre 10th was like.
Congo Rats (er wait...yer a rodent....do you still eat other rodents?) Snark! BTW, I posted some info on spy costs on my Espionage guide. Without looking into things of a complete random nature...I think it's complete. Damn, it's almost been a year running since I started that post.
Just giving a bump due to OP being edited. I've completed my evaluation on spy costs. Found the first 20 to be rocky in cost flucutations, but after that it's a fairly steady increase in cost of about 1bc higher cost than the previous change in cost. Example: Spy Cost Cost Change 34 3695 N/A 35 &nb
I've had a few of those recently. I dream that I (for whatever reason) don't go to a class the entire semester and realize it come grades... Haven't had any about HS though, not since college. Back in college I had a few dreams that I had forgotten which locker was mine and I had stuff in it. Forgetting about things until it's too late seems to be a reoccuring theme in my dreams....hrm, gotta look into that (what's that chances of that happening eh?). I'm gla
Loupdinour: best of luck with those tough working weeks, I hope it's for a good cause (of course "good cause" also includes your bank account at the end of the month). If it's any consolation, 50-60 hours working weeks have been my average in the past 4 years so you're not the only one who has to cope
Eh, I get 1.5x for anything over 40hrs, so they try to limit me on how much OT I get to do. It's going to a good cause, it's going to the following foundations: Lou
Since there is no way to tell spy origin, just get CEC's on all planets and pick off spies based on what they are placed on. Focus on econ/farm/morale buildings first to boost your income and thus amount of money you can spend on training each week.
You can find a ton of modding answers over in this sub forum https://forums.galciv2.com/forum/348 I can't answer your question, but I can garontee you that someone there should.
Just wanted to poke my head in...let everyone know I'm still alive. With spring here and our garden/yard to tend to, coupled with 50-60hr weeks until end of July, I haven't had much time to do squat. I also blame PopCap for any attempts to do anything game related on my PC at home when I have time...between Peggle and Plants vs Zombies, galciv2 can't get an word in edgewise.
Pay the Dregin to go to war with tech or ships, let their SA go off, creating more ships for them to maintain...rinse/repeat until their economy is tanked. Combine with sabotaging their econ buildings to further bottleneck their economy, since now theyare also spending on spies....Want to see a superpower go broke and collapse upon itself?
