Alternate Resource Maximizers in Strategy Sins Forums

So I am completely new to this game, and so far I think it is awesome. I have one question, however. How does one improve resource income without colonizing huge amounts of asteroids? Is there a way to upgrade an asteroid or planet's income? Thank you for providing any answers you have.
