Woa!!! That is awesome! :-D I would also suggest a 'Current Version X.XXX' value stated somewhere on the main page to correspond with which version of the game. I love the way the tool-tips work. That's phenomenal!
The game itself continues getting developed every day. It just means that Beta 1 will be further along in other areas. It's not like the rest of the team is sitting around having beers waiting for the shadows to get in. Even in beta 1, the shadows won't be "right", they'll just be better. The goal isn't to make the world realistic. But as game developers, we do have a desire to have our game be vi

I definitely think it is possible to accomplish the majority of what is on the to-do-list for this mod. It might take a little longer than other projects but TobiWahn and crew have made steady and constant progress so far without fail.
What if the full height vertical lines are word breaks?
Any chance we can track down the texture artist? Maybe we can interrogate them. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
psychoak more or less just hit it on the head stats wise. There's a lot rolled into those stats that isn't accounted for in most studies or media reports. Once you start digging into the sources for the stats, things begin to look quite a bit different.
Some Starclad texture artist is probably laughing their ass off right now.... If I had to guess, I'd say this was just unused texture...probably was originally going to go in the middle (like a "belt" for the sphere) but then they decided no one would see it given the size so no point in using it (or making something similar for the other spheres)...
Probably, but again, who knows. The thing that intrigues me is this. Why do we assume the characters are square-ish? When the image is placed verticle, the characters could likely be longer, etc. More than that, they could be in four difference orientations. Hmmm ... I swear this looks familiar or at least feels like it should be, the style of it anyways I just can't place it. [e digicons]:'([/e]
That being said ... Goa you said you rotated the texture? Maybe the letters are off by 90° then and were meant to be read one at a time. L i k e t h i s .

Just lost 3 hours of game play ... *sigh* so much for the Europe East server being stable ... the game play is so much fun it's just makes me dislike EA that much more for ruining this. [e digicons]:([/e]
So, do you have to already have bought SimCity to get the free game, or do you just have to buy (and activate) it by March 18th?
Heh, good question. :-P Avoid all the server problems and get a free game? Interesting approach Seleuceia.
For the content that is there the game itself is an absolute blast to play. I've logged just over 15 hours so far on two cities. My first city which is 'single-player' and my second city in a '4 city region' on the Europe East1 server with 3 others. When I chose to do the multi-player it's a very nice mechanic if you want it in the sense that citizens from other cities can work in yours etc etc. For 'single player' though, it should reall

Only server currently stable enough to rock out on for house seams to be Europe East 1.
