I was in SDC and it preformed an Illegal Operation. It took 4 separate ties before it closed. Here are the details form those illegal operations if it might help. OK, I loaded SDC but I have a question. I am registered as Toothless-OMO, but in SDC I used Spoot (a name I used many places). Is it possible to have both names as part of SDC? I do hope so. If not I am able to change them if I so choose? Thanks Spoot (Toothless-OMO) ~SDC~
I think it will be joy all around! :D :CONGRAT: :D Toothy
Welcome aboard Ardrikk. It is too bad one game has to suffer and another gains from it, but I guess that really is life. I am very happy GalCiv looks like it will do very well, and that imo it will have some of the BEST Support that any game has seen in a long, long time thanks to Frogboy and Company. Look for you in the Metaverse! :) Toothy
I must respectfully disagree with many of you in this post. Have you never tried the game "Moonbase Commander"? It is turn based and great fun in MP. In fact this is the only real place that game is very much fun. Personally, I am buying GalCiv for at least three reasons. 1. I love to play SP missions in games. 2. I look forward to a game with depth and a great AI. :) 3. I want to support Developers like Frogboy who communicate with users and commit to maintaining
Frogboy, Job well done to you and your team! :D
Thought this might be a good time for a *bump* :)
Personally, I really like a hard copy manual as I like to read them and see how to do things a bit better then I am at times. I like JoWooD's manuals the best as they make them all in color which allows you to see things just as they are in the game. I think this is one area that should not be skimped on in this game (or any game) as I think it can make or break a game that really needs a reference tool. Toothy
Well, after reading the reviews and hearing that it is a huge spreadsheet in a sense I am going to now hold off and see what others say after they play it a bit. Waiting a month does at leaast two things. First it gives it an opportunity to drop in price and second GalCiv will be out! :) So, those of you that are getting it for sure will you post your honest thoughts back on these boards? Thanks Toothy
Frogboy, Will there be a updated manual to reflect all the changes the game has gone through? Will the manual really be useful since there are many things that seem to be talked about on these boards that may be part of the game upon release? I am presupposing that the manual is already printed and waiting for the CD. If this be true, it would seem to not reflect the game that we will get in the stores. I for one am very keen about manuals. They can really make a ga
Could it be possible to have it both ways? 1. Have a victory condition that is to take the entire galaxy over, by force/diplomacy/stealth/etc. or 2. A victory condition that is to form an alliance with x% of the know galaxy. But this can not be achieved through military might as the bigger you get the less likely other races would be inclined to ally with you. Not sure if you can really have your cake and eat it too. :d Toothy
Well, just read the review and I must say, very interesting indeed. To me, it sounds a bit like he knows what he is talking about in regard to game play. It seems he must have played the other MOO Games and so can judge fairly competently on this title. If he is right though, it looks like MOO3 will be a great seller but people will get tired of it quickly. If he is right that is! I only hope he was not playing the latest build of the game and it is better then he is
Diablo22, Read my post here http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=16753 and order it at GameStop, as you will save yourself money. Toothless-OMO
Could you please answer me a few questions about Drengin Network? 1. For those that purchase the Drengin Network do they receive a "real" Disk of the games or are they Downloads from the Network? 2. What are the benefits of this Network over buying the games outright? 3. What if you already own a couple of the games is there a price break? I own The Corporate Machine, and have GC on pre-order. That's enough for now. Toothy
Here is a quote from the GameStop web site where I pre-ordered GC. Is this something that will be available later anyway? Who created it to begin with and is it trash or is it worth it? __________________ Bonus offer! Customers who purchase Galactic Civilization online will receive a link for a free download of the Galactic Civilization Theme manager for your PC desktop. Link will be e-mailed to your email address shortly after shipment of the product. ________
Frogboy, I want to be the first to stand up, jump up and shout out; Thank You for planning on supporting your game in this way. :CONGRAT: It is a rare thing to find Developers supporting games to this extent. I look forward to getting GC (it is on pre-order) and then telling others to get it and play it as well. For what it is worth, keep up the good work and again; Thank You. Toothy
