As I have said before in a couple posts, when I heard about this game and also read some of the reviews, I figured it would be a cool game to try out but they didnt have a demo yet and none of my friends in the area had it. So I pirated it and played a couple games of it. Bout an hour after I got it and got totally plastered by the AI I went out and bought it. Been tellin all my friends to go get it if they want a great game that will last.

I think that multiplayer, in the form of LAN\hot seat would be the only way I would go with a game like this. I take my time in games, so on a huge map I will be playing the game for a solid week, depending on how it goes. However, I think that more attention should be paid polishing the last bits of the game and then adding new features etc so that we have a great game to play. Besides, there IS going to be a sequel so they can add multiplayer into that from the start, and I will b

Well, all I know is that barring any extreme change happening (for the worse) I am going to get the expansion when it comes out. I look forward to finishing up more of the campaign and then getting to play around with anything new you guys toss in there. Like most people have said, and I know I have said it before, thank you much for a great game. It has been awhile since a game has come out that I can really get into like this one. I think that MoO2 was the last one. Keep up the good work!

Ya, I had the constructor minimum speed one (two parsecs I think was voted) and now no matter how many engines i put on (had 6 warp drives on one) it can only got four parsecs. Really sucked cause it happened right as I was fortifying my starbases to go to war

I also have to agree. I hadn't heard of the game (though I have a semi-long history of Stardock products) but I read the reviews, specifically GameSpot and GameSpy, and decided that I might want to try it out. Unfortunately, there wasn't a demo out, and I didn't know anyone who had it. So, seeing as how I didn't want to spend money on a game I may not like after a couple run throughs, I decided to get a pirated version. And boy oh boy! I love this game. I only played a couple of

In my game (gigantinc 6 races) I am picking apart the Korx but started noticing this trend. So I upped my espionage and started looking at all their colonies. Of about 40 or so I looked at, I found 6 Industrial Sectors, all on different worlds. Personally, I think thats kinda BS to be fighting against an AI that buys everything (thats the only thing I can think of) because there is no way it can be competetive when it takes 200+ turns to build a medium ship. Even if it is just a sl

Eh, I'm undecided. While I think that GC2 multiplayer would absolutely rock the house....I also remember slogging through games of MoO2 and BotF and not getting even close to the end. So, as the question is stated, no. I would not pay $20 for multiplayer GC2. However, if it was multiplayer, some new stuff tossed in and maybe something to allow players to meet up to play a game (SDC seems like it could manage to host a game room or somethi

LOL....I'm still truckin along on my Ti 4200 and the game runs beautifully, and I haven't heard any others with dying cards....so it sounds like you have a screwed up system or your card had the misfortune of dying at that time. There is a word called 'coincident' for a reason.

Agreed. If you are going to go with any sort of 'non-traditional' release digital is the way to go. Again, I say release it when you guys are satisfied with it being done and not before.

Now this is not the biggest of bugs\glitches, and I have just noticed it. Early on in my game my two planets that are shipbuilding focused can't stop building ships. When I click on the shipyard and change it to another design, it changes to that. But nothing happens when I tell it to build nothing. It stays on whatever it had been producing earlier. Fortunately, it isn't too major right now as I only have about a dozen planets. But whe

I would probably go with traditional. That way you dont have to deal with multiple versions of the game in circulation. And as to trying to rush it out for Christmas.....I know I may not be in the majority on this....but I am a poor college kid and I will buy the expansion no matter when it comes out. I just have to plead that you guys wait and get the expansion DONE like the origional was. The number of games that come out and just don't
