Couldn't an issue like this be resolved by including or branding the skinners credentials somewhere in the code of the original skin? Then nobody could say it was their skin. Or keep a record of the original upload in case something like this happens?
I think we all need to take a chill pill and wait and see what the "evidence" is before we start stringing people up. Michael Jackson is obviously a strange guy...no crime there...if it were a crime I think many of us would be in jail right along side of him. And society is just as much to blame for this strangeness, since we tend to overpay and glorify many sports figures and entertainers that are little more than thugs, drug addicts, and abusers, and quite frankly I'd never let any of them in

I've been able to download skins and icons with relative ease, but when it comes to downloading Sysmetrix apps I'm at a loss as to how to get them into the lineup. So...the question is...once they have been downloaded how exactly can they be applied to the Sysmetrix lineup? This is something that would be nice to have on WinCustomize for those of us who are no quite up to speed on the downloaded differences...tutorials for applying all the different apps.
Hi Yrag, I did an uninstall after I had another problem. WindowBlinds stopped skinning, but it would still color the windows background. So I uninstalled, used the zapper, and they are working again. Still not sure if I want to download the WindowBlinds4.19 yet now that I have 3.51 working again...lol. But thanks for all your help.
Hi Crissy....Not sure what caused it to happen. But I did another uninstall of WindowBlind and used the zapper, then reinstalled it and it's working again. Would be nice to kow what caused it though.
I just changed my desktop font and after that WindowBlinds stopped skinning anything. It is changing the background color of Windows but that's it. Is it because of changing the desktop font? I changed it back to the origional font but it didn't help.

I tried the archive restore thing and was back to the same problem, so I did an uninstall again, which it seems to have done, but yet says it didn't...go figu
Ok guys, thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to go try and get this all straightened out and see what else I can screw up.... Hopefully I'll get this fixed without having to resort to drastic measures and uninstall the whole thing and start over...
The problem I was having with the 4.19 versions was that I would continuously get a "WBload.exe encountered a problem and has to close" prompt and the app wouldn't open. And it also affected WindowBlinds3.5? as well.
ok...just tried to restore WindowBlinds4 adn everything but one file was successfully restored. The file C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\temp\Base\Blackcomb\activeontop.bm_ failed to restore...restore aborted. Says file not found?

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of archiving before I downloaded the 4.19 version so I guess I'm out of luck as you say. I guess the only way would be to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Check that...I just went and looked at my settings and I did indeed have the suto archiving checked...so oh wise one
Thanks Crissy...now if I can only get rid of the Beta version of WindowBlinds4.19 and re-install WindowBlinds4 I'll be back in shape. Can't get the thing to uninstall.

Ok Crissy...I found it in my folders and it opened and was operational, but how can I get it back into stardock Central so I don't have to go through my folders to use it? Ok, so to reinstall it I need to check "show pre-release versions"? [Message Edited] And I would know the difference between old and new by? Because I never uninstalled the old version, it just disappeared. [Message Edited]

It was there even before the "show pre-realease versions" was checked. It was after I checked it out of curiousity and downloaded the beta version of WindowBlinds4.19 that it disappeared and I also started having problems with WindowBlinds. Which is a whole other issue I'm trying to fix.
