Firstly let me say that I did not say *everyone" as you so wrongly interpreted. It works on all MY computers with no problems. Secondly, whilst I did pay for Vista Bootscreen, I also paid to receive Bootskin Pro by unnecessarily extending my subscription with "Stardock'" prior to it's renewal. (Regrettable). Thirdly Bootskin Pro as implied by you, is not a working program for me. Lastly read again the last sentence in my quoted paste......I have not given up on "Stardo

I'm very pleased that you have Bootskin Pro finally working, but in my case this is not applicable. I agree that Vista Bootscreen did not function after the release of the SP1 Pack, but they have since released a later version (1.6) which works in all cases, including the pre-release of SP2. I guess I will use that until Stardock gets Bootskin Pro working for all.

Another release, and yes you guessed it still does NOT work. Have purchased "Vista BootScreen" from "Intelegsoft." This program WORKS and I would suggest that "Stardock" investigates how they managed to get thier program to work and make the necessary ajustments to "Bootskin Pro," to get it to work.

I agree high-heartedly with comments made above by "Starkers," but I'm not as generous in blaming MS for the change. As I have stated previously, the "Boot" procedure was changed by MS with the release of SP1 on the 26th. March 2008....herwe are now nearly 12 months later and this program will still not work on various overseas systems. One just has to look at the forums and see the comments regarding many of "Stardock" applications, and the "bugs" that have been detected

Let's look at some facts... 1. Several Boot Logo programs worked until the release of Vista SP2 2. Vista SP2 was released on or around 26th. March 2008 3. Stardock's pathetic attempt was released on or around 19th. November 2008 4. It is now the 21st. January 2009, and still many people around the world are unable to get this program to work. (March 2008 to now, to get the program to work) It should never have seen the light of day until it at least wor
Mine is set to English (Australia).. maybe you could reset your locale to Australia to see if this remedies the issue... like your locale setting needs to correspond with your selected time zone (assuming thats Sydney Melbourne Brisbane, etc) and other settings for Bootskin Pro/Windows to apply bootskins properly. Dunno cos I'm no expert, but it's a thought.
This is originally how I had it, didn.t work, then changed it as suggested in previous posts....either way

I created this post forum entry back on the 19th. November, and after the update 1.01[b].025 still not working for me, boots only the nice Aurora screen. I have tried all suggestions but to no avail......crap.

"kaftw'" the sugesstion that you made does not fix the problem for me. ("Locale" setting in the "Administrator Tab" is set to English (US). I still get the "Aurora" Boot Image. Vista 32bit Ultimate Edition - english (australia) Has any other "Australian" using this product managed to get it to work?

Bootskin Pro now loads a Bootskin without error, but sadly upon reboot, I get the Visa Aura Screen. My "Locale" is set for English (Australia). The Bootscreen change appears in the "Windows\System32\en-US" directory. There is no "en-AU" directory. Please keep trying.

Well here we ar two weeks after the release of "Bootskin Pro," and still not working, nor any further patches. I noticed that both "Deskcape" and "LogonStudio" Vista, (Programs that both were working), have again been updated....why not Bootskin Pro?

It does work but not on all systems. Many are having no issues at all running the program. Give the developers time and they will find the solution. This is a pretty lame comment. People pay for a working copy, they do NOT pay to purchase "Alpha" or "Beta" programs. The problem predominately exists in SP1 versions of Vista. It is obvious that "Stardock" took little/no notice of how "Microsoft" changed how the "BootUp" procedure worked in their release of SP1. &

I personally think that is time that people started demanding their money back from "Stardock." This might persuade them to treat the matter of "poor prgramming" more seriosly.

In reply to Zubaz, if the program had been properly tested prior to release these problems would NOT have existed...Already three attempts to patch a badly tested program....not good enough.

Yet another update......still not working...try fixing it once and for all, and don't release programs until they are fully functioning, particulary when people pay good money for same. I acturally paid to extend my subscription into 2010 to get just this unworkable program...what an absolute fool I was. 32bit Vista Sp1 English version Have tried with UAC on and off, does not make any difference.
