With an issue as critical as "will prevent your computer booting" (I just spent two days with sfc, dism, system restore, and all manner of other stuff before narrowing it down to WindowBlinds) wouldn't it be a good idea to somehow notify customers of this issue? I realise that's a little challenging, but not everyone updates their addon software the instant an update is available while Windows will transparently apply its own updates without your involvement - so people

Just another thing to note, it seems you don't get charged the whole hog at once either - my card got hit for a $2 charge when I ordered, but I haven't seen the other $97 yet. Presume that it will probably be closer to the ship date/alpha date?
More or less.
Yes I read that page but wasn't sure if "founded with the backing of Stardock" meant that it was another division. If so then cool, though it would have been a good idea to have mentioned that in the first ever email from them so people know who they are. Also so people realise that when EdgeRunner says "Login with your EdgeRunner account" they actually mean "Lo

Just got an email from "EdgeRunner" about a new Multiplicity version, went to their site and there's one or two mentions of Stardock but seems clear they're a completely different company. Which of course brings me to why it is that they have all my details to be able to contact me - according to Stardock's Privacy Policy they would only have done that if Stardock is at least 51% owner of this company (they live at the same address, so plausible). So,

So out of curiousity, (Stardock) does the whole box qualify as Package or Large Package? What are the dimensions? Because if it only qualifies as Package (Max. length 24", max length, height and depth (thickness) combined 36") which it sounds like it would, then you guys really need to go back to your USPS sales person and get them to give you a realistic rate - the online calculator at usps.com says that's exactly what a person off the street would pay (for Priority Internati

They can, but choose not to. Which sucks, because I loathe Impulse (or rather, loathe the company that now runs it and the way they choose to do so). Stardock, I have to say you lost a lot of kudos when you sold out Impulse to the devil... er, Gamestop... and generated a significant amount of ill will in doing so (my last experience with Stardock support was less than stellar too - definitely did not help). We know for a fact it's possible to make non-Steam ga

I feel confident in saying that our Object Desktop and Elemental: War of Magic customers noticed a drop in the quality and rate of software development. But that could just be my imagination... Dunno about quality, but quantity definitely tanked. And there were entire product lines dumped - I actually liked ThinkDesk! On the flip side though, Gamestop (yuck!). After their first Terms of Service/Privacy Policy change

From Nick's post: "We made the decision to use Steam after looking at all the various options out there and decided that it provided the best, least intrusive experience for PC gamers. We think you’ll agree." I thought the least intrusive experience was Impulse Reactor. But hey, I'm just a PC gamer. What would I know?

Yeah, it's getting annoying now. I don't like how with Stardock you have absolutely no idea when you get charged, because the release date is never on time. If you don't know when the release date is, either charge on the spot so people have some certainty, or don't announce it and ask for orders.

That's not true (not even when gaussflayer posted it). Windows 7 went RTM on August 1st, and Stardock will have been working with the gold master release since August 7th (as I have no doubt they have an MSDN subscription - since they're a Gold Certified Partner). But the point does stand - you do need to be patient, but just be aware that no doubt work on ... er, whatever it is you wanted ... is already in progress.

For a game that I really like, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more, as long as it could be made available.
While I haven't tried it, I was under the impression that the Impulse regional settings are based on the address which you have to provide as part of your Stardock account.. Meaning no such workaround would be possible. Ok, just got mine from the post office. Apparently there has been a rash of people following posties and nicking parcels left behind if a house is unoccupied, so they're told "if in doubt, bring it back and have the recipient collect". Pretty good policy. So anyway, your computers managed to chop off half my street name, so I'm quite lucky I'm in a small enough country that the suburb and the first 5 characters of the street name (all that was left) are sufficient for the
