Sadly, even being a listening ear is hard to accomplish. For every homeless person, there seem to be ten who prey on homeless people...they usually gain access to them by pretending to minister to them. What I have found in my battle with the icy beast of depression is that the best treatment I can find is a few good and understanding friends (and an occasional joint now and then sure helps). Don't need money for that, but, as Baker pointed out, most people won't tell you that. C'mon, people, "Baywatch" had a few redeeming qualities. In fact, I'm willing to bet that if they released a DVD set of Baywatch edited to exclude all David Hasselhoff scenes, most of the guys out here would run out and buy it. Although, one thing I never understood about the show. Drowning takes only a few minutes. It took those female lifeguards about half an hour to run across the beach (they were slower than Lindsay Wagner; bionic my ASS).
