Same problem here. I run OD & purchased the digital download too. Same Invalid registration problem for me-even though i've cut & pasted the serial number directly from the email i received fro Stardock after purchase.Weirdly, i'm still able to play the game-just not register it!Any idea as to when Stardock Central gets replaced by this better frontloader?
That error occurred to me after the Stardock Central Update to 2.47.481 Build 159. I solved the looping of the WB update by uninstalling WB6 completely-then rebooting. On restarting SDC, i was able to install the latest WB6 Beta with no problems.Hope that helps.
Ok Wombat_1. I`ll shut up. Pointing out a migration-path from what used to be a free service to Ob Desktop users- & being forced onto a pay-model to get skins freely available elsewhere is a no-win arguement for me on this site anyway. I wonder how many other people will be as disappointed in this development as I am?
Thanks for the info everyone. ...& there was me cynically thinking that my ability to download skins using good `ol IE had been blocked somehow in order to "force" me to blow more money on an app ("Skin Browser") which i`ve never needed til now... I`ve lived with the slow downloads & 404`s you occasionally used to get on this site-& understood that you just have to live with these problems on a busy server.
I too purchased object Desktop from Stardock - but that doesn`t stop the main problem of how the hell you get anything to download off this site anymore. For the last couple of weeks, I havn`t been able to download one windowblinds skin. Not one. Pretty disappointing. (yet you can look at *anything* you want to....)
