You'd think the lazy bastards at Stardock would fix the program for those of us (many) who use OD with x64 systems. Of course they won't do anything regardless of how many comments or requests we post, asking them nicely to fix thier broken program. Styardock Customer No-Service Sucks! Regardless of how much you have paid or how long you have been a loyal customer.

Directory Opus uses the "double-click" on the desktop to open a new Opus window. So, I'm thinking I must change OPUS shortcut gesture, in order to allow Fences to operate normally. Which I can do, but it sucks, since I use Opus much more that Fences. Maybe FENCES should have the option to modify or change its "double-click on desktop" gesture to something other than the deafault. Just a thought. Anyone else have any problems like this?

SHIRLEY, I'm (of course) gonna wait for the OD+ issue to smooth itself out, likely later this year. I think the year extension to ODUltimate, for $20, is a deal, and should be purchased by all who enjoy ODUltimate. GREYSPIRE, I am running OD+ on Vista x64 without any hitches. YOU HAVE TO get impulse to SHOW BETAS or use the old StarDockCentral to install the latest OD+ beta. IF YOU DO install the beta, and reboot, all OD+ features will be working just fine

I think this is a good deal for both: Stardock get $$ up front right now, and we get a longer extension of fun SW. My question that I have, that I can't get SD to answer is: If I renew my ObjectDesktop Ultimate (have had it renewing for years, but this will extend it to the end of 2010), but I ADD the ObjectDockPlus (presently at v1.9) for $10, for a GRAND total cost of $30 (I already bought OD+1.9 last year), WILL I GET AN AUTOMATIC UPGRADE TO OD+ v2.0 WHEN IT COMES

If I open up OD+ itself, and check the ABOUT OD properties on the "splash" screen that pops up, It goes from 1.90Build535u (v1.90.033 in Impulse) to 1.90Build537u (v1.90i[b].020 in SCD and the same v1.90.033 in Impulse). I didn't check the other computer with 1.91k on it, It's shut down, It's late and I'm going to sleep. I hope this helps.

OK. I see your problem. I have a fresh install of Vista x64 SP1 Ultimate upstairs. I installed OD+ with Impulse, and it installed 1.09.033 as the latest beta from Impulse. NOTHING really worked in x64 just like everyone has stated. I tried to tell Impulse to allow betas/alphas, and rebooted, but nothing but v 1.90.033 would show up in Impulse. I rebooted, refreshed Impulse, everything I thought possible, to no

I deleted OD+, rebooted, then set Impulse (w/a click on the upper left orb) to show the betas. It updated to 1.91k[a].025 without a hassle. I hope this helps.

Does anyone have any CLUE as to what features we will see with OD+2, when it will be released more or less, and what it'll cost? Just wondering. If it is anything better than 1.9, with super features, i will pay the upgrade. Just wondering when.

Open Impulse, click on the blue orb in the upper left corner (after validation is complete), select "allow Beta versions", and you should see an OD+1.9 beta from OCT 08, which works very good with Vista x64. No issues at all, yet.

HG_Eliminator, Thanks for the 'how to' for beta releases in Impulse. Somehow I (stupidly) missed that one. Now I get 1.91k[a].025 as the latest beta from Impulse, which is of course NEWER than the beta release I found in SDC. Which proves to me that Impulse is the latest port for all things new from SD, not the antiquated SDC. It still begs the question, "If OD+2 is coming soon, why is it not in the COMING SOON section(s)?!?!?! Is OD+2 a SECRET Coming Soon release? Maybe
Quoting Island Dog, reply 1 is it coming? Yes. Jesus is coming soon also
That was almost a year ago. Is SD going to work on OD+2 compatibility for Win7? If so, it may be quite a while before we see an OD+2 release, Jun 07? Hopefully sooner (Jan09?) than later, and Zubaz has great hope that it is coming. I agree that it is way overdue, but "soon" is a relative term. And OD+2 would m

Foppe, thanks for the update on working with win7 (x32 & x64). i have used it as a bluray player for my big screen (stability not that important). SInce I couldn't get it to run (consistently) some very important 32-bit engineering programs at work, regardless of the nice Compatibility setup it runs, I haven't kept it on any MAIN computers; only as a second partition boot. Which I was very impressed with (it installed seemlessly on the same WD 1TB black HDD, with 250GB Vistax64

I wasn't sure if Apple invented it or not, MS/Apple and others steal ideas from all over the place, so it's hard to know who's idea it really is. But since Apple finally received the patent, I was wondering what might happen. They (Apple) tends to think that they invent everything, and then go after anyone who does the something similar, after they stole the idea in the first place. I read an article shortly after the patent was granted, and it proposed the idea of possible issue

Zubaz, Thanks for the help and the information (#49). You know, I went and installed OB2 from my ultimate account, and it appears that is a very powerful program; and I haven't really played with it yet. OD / OB are different, yet very similar. I really like OB2, but would like to make it a little more like the Win7 Taskbar, where mousing over icons gives a preview of the open windows. Right now OB only gives the address of the open item. Maybe OD2 will give the customization t

I have a question, since I have never used OD+ to it's full potential, and I have been using it for years. Can you show icons for open windows AND the tray AT THE SAME TIME!?!?!?!? It appears that the option for (1) ICONS ONLY, (2) ICONS AND TRAY or (3) ICONS AND OPEN WINDOWS. I want to replace the Vista x64 tray completely, and with the ||| Impulse uninstall of OD+, reboot, the SDC install and installation of OD+ 1.90b537u (beta), ||| I have supp

I know sw development is incredibly difficult to estimate completion dates, especially with the load that SD is under; with so many nice products having been released lately. But if a release date is "missed", the customer is aware that something is around the corner, since it has been noted that work is being completed on a new project, thus the projected release date. It just 'seems' to alot of people think that OD is left for dead, since there hasn't been an updates for an awe

Why doesn't Impulse give the link or option to show/download the beta software(s). Am I missing something in Impulse? I thought that SDC allowed that option. It seems like we can only get x64 support, if we dl and install the old-school SDC, then get the OD+ beta. Come on SD!!!! Can't you support x64? It's not the future anymore, it is here to stay.

It would be nice if there was someone at Stardock who actually trolled these posts and could throw us a bone about a theoretical timeline for projected releases. True, there is a workaround to get OD+ working on Vista x64, but are they trying to get it (OD2) ready for Win7? Maybe they think Vista support is a waste of effort............. Maybe they don't care about Vista because most people will be upgrading to Win7 (IMO), since Vista sucked from all betas until SP1 release. I th

MANY THANKS to all those who have spent precious personal time to make skins, themes, icons, etc. For those of us who use a computer 6+ hours a day, AND also enjoy the variation that you "skinners" all offer - I think I can collectively say , Thank you! . Regardless if I (personally) do not like a particaular skin, the time was devoted, and I a
