After playing around some more, I think the problem has to do with Objectbar. When I don't have it loaded, things work as I expect them to with the dock. When I have it loaded is when things fall apart.

I'm not doing a good job of telling what I am trying to do. I want to use objectdock as a replacement for the windows taskbar. I don't want to use autohide on the dock and I don't want maximized windows to appear behind the dock at the bottom of the screen.

I downloaded the public version of Objectdock and played around with it over the weekend. One thing I liked was the ability to hide the windows task bar and replace it with Objectdock. I sized Objectdock to the same height as the windows task bar and when I maximize windows, the bottom of the maximized window is just above the top of Objectdock. I like it so much I decided to buy the Objectdock plus version. I have installed it, but now when I dock
