If you want your system running optimally.....stop fucking with it.
Good advice. I've never let SMP do anything on it's own, no tasks setup or anything. I originally bought it because I was having problems with an old computer and it seemed like a good package deal. The tuneup features bundled with virus protection and firewall. Now with 7, they dropped the firewall feature and a few other things. Still use it for the tuneup stuff and the v

Lantec: what wallpaper is that in reply #6 for your laptop? Do you have a link? Can I have it? Will you still like me when I'm 64? [e digicons][/e]
Thanks for the info, yrag. What about iolo's stuff didn't you like? Not looking for a "no mine's better" thread...just want to learn.
Same here. I'm always open to this type of thing, and thought I had found a great tool with SMP.
I'll give that a try. Thanks.
I'm not a fan of System Mechanic....for what that's worth.
Well, in being around here since 2005 and seeing how much you know, that's worth a lot to me. I've been using SM since about that same time though and have never had any problems with it. Is there something better that you'd be willing to recommend? If I'm wasting my money with SM, I'd like to know. I'll get the info you asked for as soon as I can.
What does the BSOD say?
It usually reboots quicker than I can get all the info...I'd have to find the dumps to get all of it.
...and exactly what have you done lately?
It started after the most recent updates for Win7. Like I said, I re-installed Win7, and let it update. The only other program on the HD was System Mechanic Professional. I didn't really give it a chance to see if it would happen without the updates, which
What type of pc do you have?
Sorry for your loss.
Ran it. Message when finished: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. What should I try now?
Not going to use Impulse anymore
Ok. Though I'm sure Impulse's feelings will be hurt. You really showed that program.
Looking good.

This is driving me nutty. Since I don't know what's causing it, and I've got no other programs on that drive except System Mechanic Pro, I'm going to use iolo Drive Scrubber to wipe it completely clean using the boot cd option and reinstall Win7. I'm going to disable Windows Update for a few days and see what happens. I'll create a restore point upon install and then load my drivers and create another restore point before I do any kind of program installs. I'
I understand you can install 7 from a USB. Google it for the particulars.

THANKS for that bit of info. I've found a tool to do just that at THIS PLACE.
No problem Hoosier.
I don't think anyone should HAVE to skin all three OSs. If I purchase a Master skin though, it would be nice to have support for all three OSs, since there are three OSs out there that I may or may not be using. For me, I have all three, but others don't. I understand that and so do skinners. But you can't expect someone to do something. You can't make them do it either. Either they do, or they don't. In the end, it'
Lately I've been getting alot of BSODs. I've been getting 0x24, which is a NTFS failure and I've gotten 0x1 which is an APC Index Mismatch. I thought that maybe the NTFS was a hd failure about to become fatal so I put in a different hd that had Win7 on it before I got a new hd. Win7 went out and updated and within about 30 minutes, BSOD. My drivers are up to date as far as I can tell. I even re-installed Win7 on the newer hd and after getting upd

To thump before or after February First will guarantee you bad luck through out the year. 2.You may only thump a Troll on the brow. Anywhere else will guarantee you bad luck through out the year.
