I think the Apple patent covers work developed by Steve Jobs back in 1988 when he was developing NeXT OS. Apple brought NeXT OS around 1997 and acquired all their intellectual property, including their dock. So Steve Jobs actually invented "this type of Dock" before OD, it wasn't Apple then, but it is now. I didn’t want to post a link before as I didn’t want to be seen as self-promoting, but if your not aware of my site then your unlikely to visit. Desktop X 2.1 Dock Problem in Skinning WinCustomize Forums

The way things dock in the new version of desktop X, seems to be different than it's previous versions. E.g. In my Aquamarine theme which is resolution independent, i have set the topbar to dock with the "top" of the screen. When i load the theme on DX 2.1 the topbar is positioned off the Screen at -30. Ok which is best to use, I'm currently using BMP's but some people prefer jpgs, probably because they download quicker. JPG's do lose quality if you edit and save a lot. So what do you think?

I have recently updated the comment section for my LCARS theme as there seams to be an unknown error in the Zip, and i wanted to let people know that i was aware of it, so that i didn't keep receiving the same email. LCARS DXTheme Doomed! in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

Hi everyone back online again but with bad news. My LCARS project went up in smoke last night and none of the backup's now work ether. My folder c:\programfiles\objectdesktop\desktopx\themes corrupted and i l lost everything inside it. I have been trying to display a website at my University as it's my end of year show, the problems is I made it on a PC but the only computers we have at uni for graphics are Mac’s. Often when I want to upload a Desktop X file I get the invalid file format message. The file is not invalid because it works fine on my computer. So what’s going wrong, the problem seems to occur with the larger themes, so maybe it not uploading correctly. Windows Media Player Skin request in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

Hi I’m sure most people have downloaded the new WMP 9 with the corona skin. I really like the layout as it has everything you need and all of the function are easily assessable, however the skin as one really big design fault, which is the top menu, which could easily have been built into the design. Is there anyone out there you can make a new version of the corona skin with the menu built in? Not sure if it is even possible to construct the entire player but I just thought I would ask
