In the Star Trek universe many of the main factions (Federation, Klingon, Romulan) aren't at war but they still consider ships entering their space as hostile and this is definitely something I'd like to see included with a superior diplomacy and foreign relations system. You should have a number of options to limit your space to neighboring races like "open borders", "military restrictions", "trade ships only" and "closed borders" and ships that break that should be considered enemy

I would absolutely love to play a space combat simulator where the only sound I could hear came from my cockpit. For a turn-based strategy it would be a disaster I think. Since it's such a niche request, modding should be all that's required.

There should be a reward/risk component for class 0 planets I think if you are allowed to extract from them. Not every single one should be useful or profitable to mine. Maybe some could give large bonuses for a while but they might be extremely unprofitable financially.
