An idea which would generate random people that you could coax or hire to live on your planet and boost your stats. Hire a diplomat to help you stop a war. Hire a famous sports figure to improve entertainment thus happiness. Hire a famous general to give you the ground war edge. Hire a famous scientist to help boost your research. People might come with baggage that could effect your alignment. Hire a famous or infamous assasin to take other famous people out bei

Playing a Large Map as the Yor in the beginning on normal difficulty versus 7 AIs. As I am still sending my Colonyship to the first planets I found when all AI civs smack down on their second planet. About 10 turns later all AIs settle on their 3rd planets. This is when I am still buildning my second colonyship. My Flagship hasn´t even found a third system yet! </

Someone did respond and said they did not include it with the initial release but plan to add it later. If you go into the music folder and copt your mp3 and change the name to one of the files that are already in the game it should play your file.I don't know whether you have to rename the one you are replacing.Back up your original music folder and it was suggested that you would have to have the same parameters as the original music files such as bit rate. Hope this helps.

I would like to see the minor races have something I would call the The Grand Space Yacht Tour.A message would pop saying that in x number of days a grand yacht from y minor race will come to your local parsec. You will see a percentage chance they will visit your planet which you can influence by gifting. If it lands on your planet for a period of time you would have something akin to Celebrate the Kings day in civ games,in which your rieceve a boost to one aspect of your race or planet for a t

Playing GC2 is a life changing experience. My room is a mess,my car is a mess and my clothes and me smell about the same right now,and I never knew that microwave popcorn was on the food pyramid. But no joke when I come into the room my cat now sits on my computer chair before I can sit down so I will pay attention to him instead of playing. Stardock needs tp put sleep algorithms in the AI just to m

I never seen a slamon at spawning time, but it doesn't sound like it belongs on a family rated forum Sorry couldn't resist. I had that happen but didn't pay attention to the 2 sector thing, the next thing I know is an Arcean colony ship arrives at a planet right by my homeworld.Doooh!

Did the other worlds have any or better bonus tiles? The fact that later worlds are more built up may mean they need more time to get up to speed. What size galaxy were you in?Normal tech rate? Were there any morally good races close to them that they would feel threatened by or hostile to who may have gotten better planets than them?

Value also depends on your current situation. In my current game I have a 700% manufacturing bonus on my home planet. I have run out of tiles to quickly build a galactic wonder that would permanently protect my trade ships through the whole game(privateer),meaning I could hammer other races trades to weaken them without fear of reprisal on my own freighters. But researching it would take 39 weeks of research, unless I unbalanced my spending practices. So how much is that habitat im

So this means you could reduce the effectiveness of AIs by simply parking your transports in orbit and never atacking? If ypu built a transport and filled it with 10 soldiers would the AI still destroy its buildings?

if the AI did not have all categories of weapons tech, they would not be able to adjust their strategy to your ship building. You would know what race used what tech and could build ships accordingly. There would be no cross over tech for them to use.(Perhaps they should place a high priority for one type in the beginning.)Then the complaint would be how lame the AI is about adopting to your ships. There is a feature to put tech on slow and vey slow, this might help out with this issue.<

I have been testing freighter stuff.First of all upgrading your freighter engines and trader modules have no effect on the freighter once it gets in the loop. The speed will go back to one and there is no jump in trade value with more trade modules.Second,it says near your home planet the trade route value gets less, but that seems to be only outward bound, after it returns it holds the highest value until it reaches it's planet of origin. One way they might make trade more effective is the faster e

I have one as well.Tech victory.Challenging level small galaxy.Fast Tech.Might be kinda long. i remember what it was like to have a body. But only as a dream.I was a researcher on our homeworld Arcea. My name was Hunta Ra.Our empire was in the south consisting of Cordelia,a class 10 and Arcea, class 10 and two minor planets Hammer,class5,and Cordelia 2,class 9.Arcea had artifacts to boost research and abundant prairies for food. The Alatarians to the Northwest had the jewel of the g

Having seen the Dregs heavy fighters die beneath the shadow of a starbase that gave my ships 12 armor instead of 2 I can attest that defense is indeed important. It was a joy to see the starbases functioning.

absorbing the game manual is a good place to start.Get a refreshing drink sit back and read. You will get more if you get familiar with the charts of the civs later on.
