That event happened to me in my game. I found out that if you don't attack them, they don't attack your non-armed ships. So why beat them? They are stronger than everything in the game! I used them as my very own border patrol :). Almost every AI went to war with them. This ment that I could easy launch some unarmed transports to invade the pesky Drengin planets. Easy pickings ;).

I play as the Torians. I have researched both Aquatic World Colonization techs. But I still have 2 planets that have only 50% production. I also researched both the Radioactive/Barren World Colonization techs, but those planets are at 100%. Does anyone have the same problem? I see that the Aquatic World Colonization techs are in a different branch then the other colonization techs, could that have something to do with it?

Some explanation. I get the event that the Dread Lords have arrived (woe upon me etc). I click the event away, the game goes to the gaalxy screen and then crashes. This happened twice.

I found the problem. The game didn't really hang and the button hadn't really disappeared. What happened was that a ship stopped at a Fleet rally point. So the game had the focus on that ship, but I didn't see that. So the game was actually waiting for my input, thus it seemed to me as if the game hang.

I actually had the same problem in the beta: my turn button would disappear during the turn process. The game seems to hang when it's focused on a fleet of mine. So I'm thinking it's actually something on my side; but I have no idea what :s. True, but Phasors 7 cost less per unit of damage. Psyonic beam || 0,08000 dmg/bc || 1,33333 dmg/size Phasors VII || 0,12000 dmg/bc || 1,00000 dmg/size Doom Ray || 0,14667 dmg/bc || 2,00000 dmg/size So a Doom Ray is even better (in the beam department).
Why are you complaining when you had your advesaries set at SUB-NORMAL. Did you actually expect them to take advantage of anything at that level??? Play all of your games on Normal or Challenging and you will see how resourceful the other races can be
I usually do (check my profile). I

I had that as well in a game. A precursor artifact was found in the Vizzard system that made every planet a class 4 planet. With all the terraforming techs I got planets ranging from class 11 to class 16 (!). If that wasn't good enough, the range was 2 sectors wide. So a section of 5 x 5 sectors was suddenly filled with habitable planets. And this was a part of the galaxy filled to the brim with class 0 planets :p. About 150 new class 4 planets were open for colonization. Luck for me, I

I'm pretty sure it was the wait 1 turn before attack resolution, I remember voting for it. Then again, I can't see it anymore in the UP resolutions. So it could've already passed, or I'm just dead wrong.

I wanted to ask the Arcean to make peace with the Drengin. So I clicked "make peace with..." on the right side. To put some extra attention to this deal I wanted to threaten with war. I clicked "declare war" on the left side. And then I got the vote for war (which I wun), got the war declaration and I got immediately attack. This shouldn't have happened, I have that UP law which cleary states I should wait a single turn :p.

Miniaturization *shouldn't* affect the actual size. That is just a function of the size mod and base hull size. Which are unaffected by miniaturization. I cheched Pulse Driver I, II and III on a tiny hull. It's weapon sizes are all 1 below what they should be. So either that Wiki page is wrong, and the size should be round down instead of up. Or something fishy is going on in TA :p.
not quite sure what your saying, but miniaturization does not shrink weapons per-se, it jus adds more hull space to the hull. ie, 20 space+(lets say) 40% miniaturization, and you end up with your medium hulls now having 28space. the weapon sizes are the same, but you can now fit more on your ship. In short, the components do not srink, the hull size expands. Hope this helps.
Actually, no, it doesn't help. I know

I wanted to find out if I should put Psyonic Beams, Disruptors or Phasors VII on my ships. So I made an Excel sheet, searched the web and crunched some numbers. I the following site that explains the mechanics behind weapon size calculation: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Miniaturization With that, I did some calculating. I saw that weapon size is linked to hull size, using the size mod. Actual weapon size has nothing to do with the level of miniaturization. So here's an example.<br/
