I am confused about how production in cities work. Looking at the little Civ style map, but it's grain and hammer symbols don't line up. For instance, I start a new game, my home city square shows 5 hammers, but the breakdown is 4 grain, and 13 hammers (3 from production, +10 for being a city). I don't have buildings built yet. Why do I have a city square showing 5 production hammers, but the game is only giving me 3? Where did the 4 grain come from if my only city square don'

Thanks so much Arumba and joeball123. That makes a lot more sense. Also a bit embarrassed that I forgot to apply the exponent first. Stupid math. I am not a min/maxer by any means, but I do like to know where the numbers come from.
Population affects production which pretty much affects everything. Hmm, this post has disappeared from the Journals page. Did something break with the patch and they had to restart it all?
What is the difference between a pre-order and beta tester? I pre-ordered a year ago. I didn't really beta test, just loaded it up occasionally to see how it was coming along. The game is currently not listed as installed due to the last update, although it is listed on Impulse under my games. Do you pre-order guys not even have a listing for the game under Impulse? And Lokju, the real beta testers probably do deserve to play it early since a lot of them put in a lot of
Looking over the article again it does appear that there is still an unexplained math error. What nobody has addressed is the fact that the +88% is being applied twice. So he's still receiving twice as much research as he is supposed to.
That is exactly what I was coming here to ask. In all the forum posts I have read here and elsewhere no one answers that.
Just beat Peggle. Finally.
Thanks Zoomba, appreciate the reply. Any chance of this being done before the weekend so I know whether to keep checking or not?
Carolyn Hacker over on the Sacred 2 forums says they are still working on it for anyone else wondering about the patch.
Received an email from Stardock support this morning. They are working on it with no ETA. Steam guys still waiting too.
Yes, it's a bit frustrating, but the Steam guys are in the same boat. Supposedly it was a problem because of the holiday weekend, but I was really hoping it would have been up by today.
