So Im playing sins and enjoying it quite a bit, after some 3 days of playing sporadically heres something of a report. -Only serious issue: Game crashes. Ive never actually quit Sins, everytime the game has crashed. The crashes arent regular they seem very variable. Sometimes its in the beginning, 10 minutes after starting sometimes its an hour. It doesnt seemed linked to how much stuff is on the screen since its crashed almost right out of the gate in an early game. Oddly sometimes the

Ok, first a complement: the new patch gives the AI much faster ships and now theyre much more challenging tactical. Good job stardock. now on to the (Relatively minor) pain: - When you load a saved game, something always happens. Generally this means peace is declared between warring civs. Its wierd, because it almost always happens, on to three civs will declare peace or something or the other. This can be a major pain if you
woops sorry for the double posts
OK- 1st- I only play on tough, so this is the AI at its best game 2nd- these are some tactical issues the AI needs help with IMO A- The AI needs to value speed more, I've yet to see an attack ship with engines. Half of what makes the dread lords so challenging is that they can move about so darn fast, and with only 2-3 moves a turn the AI is basically cripled IMO. B- The AI needs to change its threat analysis. It has to

I've said it before and I'll say it again Tech trading is one of the best strategies in these type of games. Anyone whose ever played a civ game on divinity knows that you need to trade techs like crazy . The fact that the AI does this just shows that its using a very advanced strategy. Me? Im ALWAYS the most technologically advanced race and the reason why is that I trade my techs to everyone. Not only does it give me a lot more technology
bump cause I think this is a serious issue
bah trade tech with the AI. I routinetely outtech everybody cause Im always trading. Especially with minor civs they give better deals and are less risky. And teh AI specialiazes its weapons capabilities. I only research weapons after I begin to see which weapons everybodys going for, then i do something different. Anyone whose ever played a civ game knows that tech trading is the best way to keep up. I consider this to be a very strong
yeah thing is I only play against Intelligent. Honestly Im kind of dissapointed with the AI. I've played 5 games straight that I didnt finish since all that was left was wiping out all the weaker AI oponents. Pity.
Ok- Whats up wiht minor civ AI? Seriously these guys are in love with influence starbases, which makes no sense since they cant have any representalbe cultrue on the map. Ive seen networks with maybe up to a dozen minor civ influence starbases in other civs territory. This is just a tremendous waste of cash AND- Minor civs are muy paranoid. I've repeatedly gotten the "we know what your doing if I was in intelligent I wo
ok I am guity of using this exploit. When invading a planet I always send in a suicide 1st wave of 500-1k troops and have them do something really devastign like mass drivers. They'll loose but they'll wipe out like 4k-6k enemy troops. The catch is since they lost, the planet doesnt loose quality. I then send in the much larger main force in with traditional warfare and win the planet intact. Honestly though, invasions are so hard unless you
ok but I can neeever get to close with the AI its really frustrating. Ive given players hoards of technology, had all +s with them on the report screen and STILL they're always stuck at friendly. Hell I've even had every single other AI as friendly and STILL no one as close. really reall frustrating.
k game runs fine rarely ever crashes however.... Every once in a while a save game will be corrupted. This occurs in two circumstances: 1- it crashes while saving or 2- it crashes while loading a game which appeared to save correctly. Sometimes the autosave will be corrupted, but it will never crash while you save, just when you load it. I've tested this by rapidly loading and saving the game repeatedly and it crashes whiles saving on
