Yeah it reminds me of civilization too. It was always the thing I disliked about that game. I guess I'll have to wait the 99 turns then. Is there any feedback in the game that tells you how long a treaty has been in effect or how long it has to go?

It's possible that when the pioneer started out towards that spot it was not in my territory but expanded later. Their nearest city is a fair way away. However they should have changed course once it became mine. I also should be able to declare war on them somehow. Anyone know how I can declare war on them? Currently the option is greyed out. I hope the answer isn't that I need to research the ability to declare war. Everyone else seems to be able to declare war on me without
It was built inside my borders. This screenshot shows pretty clearly where my borders would have been before they built it. I had already developed the gold mine.
I have just started a game and was quite enjoying it until I encountered the following situation. Another Kingdom that I have a non-agression pact with built a city inside the borders of my territory! First off I don't think that anybody should be able to build cities inside other people's territory and especially not if the two sides have a non-agression pact. If they want my territory they should have to come and take my cities off me. Doing this netted them a gold mine that was als
I'm playing my first game and the Protective fields ability of my military starbase doesn't seem to confer the appropriate bonus to my ships. I'm wondering if this is a known issue or if I've misunderstood what they're supposed to do.
Ok, thanks for the info. That was a bit confusing and should probably be stated somewhere.
Really? I've never seen this border.
I'm pretty sure you're right about life support extending the range but since range doesn't seem to work the way I thought it did we're still in the dark.
I just started a game and I have a ship with 0.2 sct range. The manual says that this limits how far I can go from my planets or bases but I have been all over the map with that ship (definitely more than 0.2 sectors outside my teritory). How does this work? I assumed that a sector is one large square (so the first campaign game has 9 sectors). Can anyone explain this?
Well you would have to make it so that objects were only represented by icons beyond a certain distance from the camera. It might require a bit of extra coding if the switch to icons is currently controlled by zoom level instead of distance to the camera. It would certainly be nice to be able to view from beneath.
