Hoping that modules could be added to starbases that boost certain weapons / defenses based on the player's alignment. For example, "good" aligned players would have defensive modules. Just my 2 cents

That's an interesting point of view, and something that I also experience. But I still enjoy playing the game. I have thought of two interesting dimensions that the game may benefit from that would increase the player's playing experience. The ideas focus on C3 (command, control, and communications). 1. Slower than instantaneous communications. A player has 100% control over units and production at any given moment. It would be fun to have an option for "time delay" comma
This happened to me. A reboot fixed the issue. Hope it works for you, too.

Good races can build secret police stations, which I find as odd and hope someone can answer if this is by design. Thanks, -Kassad
The Torians make good trading partners, especially if you play as a goody-two-shoes . I'm playing good in my metaverse game and raking in the cash from the Torian trade routes. They're helping to finance an upcoming war on the evil Korx. -Kassad
Guess I better finish my metaverse game ASAP
Insanity I say, Insanity! Thanks!!!
New music is a great addition. I'm happy you mentioned it! -Kassad
Players should be provided all the locations of the target's planets, starbases, and resources when the espionage level reaches a certain level (e.g. advanced or high). It could be another way to scout the target's space without sending a vessel. Just an idea, -Kassad
Oh, it's a bug. I thought it might have been by design. Thanks. -Kassad
A race can be good and xenophobic. And when it comes to defending your children from evil, slaver space monsters, anything goes.
*grumble* Thanks TyrGodOfWar -Kassad
The PQ bonus doesn't work. It only works on your home planet, but on the other planets it just ups the number, without giving you any more tiles to work with. Well... spending the 3 points on the racial ability is sort of a waste? -Kassad
I'm playing under beta .018. I'm almost certain there is something going on here that I do not understand. Yes, I count the City tile as buildable. In a game right now there is a planet that has a red circle meaning that there is a buildable tile somewhere. But after close examination, there are no buildable tiles only a yellow tile. -Kassad
Noticing something; a planet is displaying a PQ of 12, and there is a red circle above it indicating a tile is buidable. But the planet has 10 built tiles, a city, and a yellow tile (unbuildable). -Kassad
My racial bonus is +10% to planet quality, and currently playing a metaverse game. When I colonize a planet, I'm not sure if I receive the planet quality bonus. For example, I just colonized a PQ 18. There are 17 green, buildable tiles, 1 city tile, and 1 yellow tile. I thought that the +10% kicked in when initially colonizing a planet (e.g. the 18 PQ would be a 20 PQ). Any insight would be appreciated. -Kassad
I would like the option to start with nothing. The AI does not seem to research sensor tech, so survey modules will likely only be for the human players.
The potential is great. Thanks Frogboy!
Has there been discussion about using initiative to determine who fires first?
I had odd video problems after a beta update, but a reboot solved it. Can you change you resolution settings (e.g. tune it down to 1200 x 900 or similar)? I'm no pro, but the debug file makes it appear there is a directX issue going on somewhere. Try run -> dxdiag and run the various display tests under the display tab. I'm not sure what you mean that it didn't work (driver or link)? www.omegadrivers.net is the link.
