yes!, i prefer the tech tree in moo2, you research a tech box with 2-3 tecs, but you can only choose one of them, it would be nice! you can still choose the most important tech for you and then if you want the other two you need to refresh your diplomacy and hope the AI have them.
I have sometimes been able to add more ships when i create fleets then my logistics allows. for example, i had eight small fighters in a fleet and just 21 logistic points. 3+3+3+3+3+3+3+3 = 24. i found out that if i click quite fast on the ships icons that will join my new fleet, some of the fighters logistic points where not counted for.

Thanx, thats a smart solution my thick head didn't figure out on its own. i shall try it in my next game, i just hope there is room to write long names.. i assume it goes for planets to, it would be useful to rename them to abilities or maplocation also. byebye to all my innovative shipnames, may they rest in peace, fighter1 fighter12 fighter123 fighter12345.........
no, i mean the numerical values, that are displayed on the infoscreen of a ship when you select it. often you remove some/all of components and change to new ones anyway. ex i have reschearced new engines and lasers. then i upgrade my fighter, who have 5 movement 4 beam attac, 2 defence, first i have to remove all the old components, then start to add the new engines and weapons. if the game saved the previus numerical 5,4,2 (and the other values, cost, distance and so on) and displa
Why can´t the old values and abilities of a ship remain in parathesis, when you upgrade a ship? this would be helpful when you do a minor upgrade and want to compare the new design with the old one. with a poor memory you often forget some vital components on the new one. i think this might be a easy but helpful to do in the game.
Is there a possibility to modify the game so that starbases could be designed just like ships? defences, weapons and abilities (im quite new to post forums, havent found similair post, but i dont really know if i have searched the posts correctly either)
