I can no longer build the Galactic Privateer as Iconians, when in the past i could in ToTa. Which has very dire consequences for me as the Yor & Drengin are beating down on my trade fleet :(.

[Edit]Oops, doubleposted for some weird reason.
Merchant Emporium is upgrade to the Barter Station. Your talking about the Merchant Trade Complex, LogicSequence.
First the turn button got "lost"(aka it gone invisible), then after i gone to the foreign relations screen, talked to someone and then returned the button came back. However, no matter how many times i press it the turn won't change. And Enter doesn't help either. This is a debug.err excerpt after i load a savegame saved after the bug happened. I tried clicking the turn button to no end for 5 or so minutes, and i did shift through my ships and none had moves left, in fact i couldn't ev
I'm pretty sure the Dreadlords even was tweaked recently, i remember reading a changelog saying that they should spawn with defense ships now, either that or they rush buy one..can't remember which. And i've had it happen that way too..though i'm playing ToTa.
I got an idea.. Why not have the events list posted to the metaverse when you submit your game? Then everybody at least could view what events led to your victory, or loss. What weapons did you research, what did you research, and in what order?
I found with tech trading off, that they do research alliances on their own quite a lot, or steal it from the one who got it first. I've always seen at least 2 or 3 different alliance groups in my games. Yor & Korath, Drengin & Terran, and Torian & Arcean(though the Arceans have a pesky habit of aligning themselves with the Drengin or Korath, generally making the galaxy a hard place to live with super warrior, and super dominator or super annihilator breathing down your neck).
See the beta schedule, it's available here: https://forums.galciv2.com/?AID=167788 Though i imagine it's been changed a little since the release date moved to January, cause the Korx & Drath haven't been added but the Krynn have been.
The edge they gain with the building is diminished greatly by their poor economy, i have never been able to run a game as the Iconians without having to reduce the production slider below 50% at times even with economic bonuses at full, federalists as party..i can't maintain a fleet which with i could go to war, as the maintenance costs would tear what poor economy the race has to shreds. In fact in my current game, my main trade partners the Drengin gone to war with me due to my weak armada. My
Mega events are hardcoded, you cannot change them...well not unless you know assembly, and even then your changes would be useless after the next patch.
I hope you extracted the mod in the mods folder, not into the actual data folder of Twilight of the Arnor.. and to deactivate the mod all you would have needed is to select "default" from the mods menu.
Adding logos is easy, it simply needs to be in .png format(most image editing programs can save & open .png files). The game has them in two sizes usually, 128x128 or 64x64 pixels. I can't however remember if you needed to use a certain palette for the image.
The tech tree implementation for ToTA looks simple enough, you define what tech tree a race follows in raceconfig.xml. For example, the Drengin have Drengin_TechTree , and the Drengin_TechTree.xml is located within a subfolder, surprise surprise called "TechTrees". And the tags you need to make a tech immune to stealing or trade, are: 0 , 0 with values either 0 or 1. Ps, no spaces between the <'
Not useless, you can trade for that tech, and later invade their planets which contain buildings that the unique tech is needed for. Instead of loosing the building, you keep it. And you can build them too. That is why i hate the UP "give away techs" issue, one game i got lots of Torian specific stuff while the Torians gained my Industrial Replicators. Which was annoying as the Drengin conquered them shortly after, and apparently had the tech as well thus they kept the nice industrial output tho
Having terror stars that just kill planets would be like picking the cherries out of the pie. And thats just ridiculous. If you want to make your enemy weaker, you must stand for the loss of whole star systems. If you want that important manufacturing world gone, but you loose a class 26 thats in the system, to bad. Maybe you should try using transports then.
Thing is, Iconians do not have access to star democracy. My diplomacy tree ends after "Alliances"(btw, thing is i can't ally with any race even when i have close relations, and we both have tech :/)
I remember a moment when i had the Fundamentalist happen on one turn, Jagged Knife the next. Then Iconians of all the people decimated me with their pathetic ships, cause i lost my primary manufacturing worlds to those events. The Dread Lords popped up just before i ceased to exist too..
Is it just me, or are the Iconians frustratingly hard to play on Large and above galaxies? I either sacrifice my economy to get lots of colonies, and then promptly get invaded by other races cause i can't research anything in debt. Or i manage to somehow keep researching stuff, while running my production at 20-40% at most all the time. Even with economic & trade bonuses applied, i never can produce enough cash to keep my empire running at over 50% production with max amount of trade routes, and
I'd assume thats for tomorrow, at least over here Korx & Drath weren't added. Maybe this is Mark 0 of 3a, and tomorrow is Mark 1? ;)
I think minor's should be able to make Asteroid colonies, but not colonize planets. These colonies produce two times more than a planet initial colony tile in worth of research & everything, and these colonies can build ships. That way minors can have a way to expand their power without interfering with the major powers too much. You could interact with these colonies as with one on a planet, except you can't build improvements on them. Asteroids should have different sizes, and only the larger
Ah finally, a System Lord like me can have ships worthy of being commanded by their god! Perhaps an Atlantian Battleship?
What heresy you speak of!?Being the Goa'uld i am, i prefer Ha'tak vessels, and such.. now bow before your god!
I would definitely buy something like AAR's in form of comic strips or short CG movies..i find them highly entertaining.
It looks wonderful. It truly does but there is one issue I like to bring up. Earlier posts said that Civs that conquered planets with different improvements, such as slave pits, would be forced to make hard ethical choices. Still this posts "seems" to say that without the techonology, the improvement would be destroyed. Now this would seem to make sense for improvements such as the charging stalks. Still, what about improvements like labs. If the Torians
I get a crash when i try to upgrade the basic defender design as Yor, i have a hunch it has something to do with the weapon the defender is equipped with as i had researched the Missile Tree but the ship was armed with a particle beam by the looks of it. And the one of the Recharging Stalks techs(first or second, can't remember right now) has a spelling error in the description, "Cybernetic" is spelled as "Cybnertic".
The textures look very nice, and the civ specific advantages are really starting to make my mouth water right about now..
