Okay...well, that got rid of the problems fences! And it's easy for me to get it back to where I wanted it. Thank you very much!! And thank you for helping out so quickly. I'm learning to really love Fences!

So was adding a folder to my desktop using Fences and it appears the top title bar is above my main monitor & I can't grab it as shown in this screenshot. I'm at 125% scale due to my eyesight so thought I'd move it to 100% to grab the title bar. No luck. How do I grab the title bar to move these boxes? 1
This software just got about 50% more useful!!! Thank you for the tip!! I didn't even know Fences could do this.
I've been very interested in purchasing the Object desktop software and was ready to pull the trigger on the purchase when I thought I'd better ask this question first. I want to install the software on my home computer and was hoping I could install it on my work computer as well. Since neither are used at the same time, am I allowed to do this? Thank you for your time! Cowski
Treborblue, First I want to comment to you directly on how impressed I am with your tech tree editor. That is, in my opinion, professional grade and it blows me away with how configurable it is and how easy on the eyes it is. Great job on that. What did you program that in and how long did it take you? Second...sure...we can collaborate on this editor if you'd like. I'm not far on it at all because I'm still trying to figure out how to loop through the
You should be aware that there's already an external tech tree editor available. I have no idea why that link isn't working. Here: forums.galciv3.com/477456/page/1
Ummmm....WOW?? That is a CRAZY handy and extremely thorough tech tree editor. Mine won't be nearly that nice. Just a windows app with some boxes to change values of shi
I know nothing of modding tools or what you,re up to. GalCiv3 is certainly not "long in the tooth". It's just about to hit puberty with second expansion. Stardock's stated intention is to support and expand this product for several more years. Expect a seven year cycle, from release providing it maintains sales. Don't expect a IV before 2020. Too much unrealized potential in the 64bit engi
I dug around & really only saw one other post regarding an external game modding utility for GalCiv3. That was nearly 2 years ago and nothing appears to have come from it. I know we can pretty much get into virtually all the xml files, make changes via notepad or notepad++ or your favorite xml editor and mod the game. But what I've always thought was nice was to have a utility, or tool, that would help us do it. So I started writing my own just to help me with my
I'm not all that familiar with Steam hence my issues. And no argument there...even irl I sometimes make something rather simple, difficult. [e digicons]:|[/e] Thanks for the more detailed explanation of what is what. I'll continue to dig around in the ship designer to find what I am looking for. I just think it could have been handled better by the developers (and yes, marketing) to make things easier to find and explained.
Okay...after a bit of clicking around I found most of what I was looking for under the Campaign option. Didn't even think to look there. I was under the impression it would present itself more easily. Your answer, however, doesn't tell me how to find the "Precursor Worlds DLC", "Mega Events DLC" unless those are hidden in one of these scenarios: <img style="vertical-align: baseline;" src="https://snag.gy/tu43E6.jpg" alt="" width="334" height=
I have virtually everything available for GC3. At least for now. :) I just purchased & d/l'd: " Builder's Kit DLC" "Rise of the Terrans DLC" I also have: "Mega Events DLC" <span style="font-size: sm
Well that's rather misleading. Oh well. One last question. Is there a way to rotate the shp on it's X, Y and Z axis? Thanks again!!
I was able to successfully add and install the DLC on Sunday as shown below: My question is this. How do I access this? I was under the impression I could get to this ship designer outside of the game. Thanks, everyone!!
Is it possible to repair ships? And if so, how?
Thanks, much, for your information...my results are below!
In DA, there are about 6 "buttons" along the bottom of the screen when you are looking at the galaxy. The third one from the left is "domestic stats." Toggle that button and several choices appear as sliders that let you move taxes from 0 to 100%, production from 0 to 100%, and three other sliders that are called something like "Distribute Empire Production." My bad...it was the "Foreign Stats" and "Domestic Stats" button. Also, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get my freighters to do a trade route. They have the trade module & I've flown them back & forth from a couple of planets of mine. Did I miss something? And LTjim...please pardon the newbie question. Where are the "empire production" and "social production" sliders at? Thanks, ag
Well...I'm a little embarrassed to be even posting on this game but figured I'd give it a go. See if anyone still monitors the forums. Please bear with me. Figured I'd ask all my questions right off the bat to get them out there. Got the games several years ago, played them a bit, then put them away & actually forgot about them till recently. 1. I got GalCiv 2 & GalCiv 2: DL some time ago. I have a serial key for GalCiv
I know this is an old thread but I wanted to bump it up to see if there is anything that can be done to make the game playable? My desktop runs the game great, but a friend of mine wants to buy the new game & play it as well but only has a laptop with the standard, onboard Intel HD graphic chipset. Pretty fast dual-core processor, 4gigs of ram. Thanks!
My immediate question to this is, "Why?".
Well crap. That wasn't what I was expecting to hear. I buy one of their games & still don't qualify for the discount. That's not right. *sigh* [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
I have SoaSE:GOTY edition. I registered my code but it's not applying my $10 discount for the pre-order of Rebellion. Doesn't the GoTY edition qualify for the discount? Thanks.
Well I'm glad that ICO is actively looking into this and simply not ignoring the issue. Hopefully they will have it rectified soon so like Pbhead, we can be "some" people with no lag in the game. As a side note regarding this...I was able to directly IP into my co-worker' machine & play the game with no issue whatsoever. So that does tell me it was something with ICO, Pbhead.
you just posted the same post in 2 locations. wow.
...and???
And, some people have no problems with lag online.
Hurray for "some people". "Some" indicate a minority. Therefore I am (as are others) in the majority.
with pings under 60, you shouldnt have lag issues.
I got nutt
A co-worker & I tried playing online for the first time together last nite. Utter failure. He tried hosting, then I tried hosting. Same results (virtually). Our systems aren't junk either. I'm running a quad-core 2.8ghz w/4gigs of DDR3 hi-speed ram, blah, blah, blah. Plenty of horsepower for this game. He's running something similar. Our pings were under 60 the whole game but next to it in status it stated: "Lagging" virtually the whol
