Here is a little follow up on this post. I still believe that Stardock should start investing time and effort to support Mac and Linux. In an interesting blog post Jacob Barkdull shows that Linux users were willing to pay up to 107% more on average than Windows users for the pay-whatever-you-want Humble Bundle #2 . I must say that I was part of them.<
That was close. The CD key is slightly blurred and there is too much light for it to be readable even in 780p on youtube. You guys should be carefull though [e digicons]B)[/e] .

Thanks. I did not know about those sites. I've just tried cheapassgamer and it was down [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] . I'll have a look later.
If you want to buy your games on sale, here is a tip for you. Have a look at Blue's News "On Sale" topics once in a while. It looks like this thread . It usually runs at least once a week and it includes sales from most online distribution platforms. This is what I've been doing for a while. I managed to get most of the game I wanted for sale. I gave this tip to one of my friend recently. I
I pre-ordered it, but sadly I have come to a decision not to support Activision-Blizzard anymore. The first nail in the coffin was when they decided to split the game into 3 full priced games instead of 1 game and 3-4 expansions. Second nail was not having actual LAN support that doesn't require a battlenet connection. Third nail was region play. Fourth was taking over the eSport of SC so they could suck profits from every aspect of it. Final n
Starcraft 2 has just been released worldwide. With its' strong predecessor's success, do you think it will attract as many people? Are you planning on buying it? I was selected as part of the beta and I only completed one game. I will not be buying it. I think I am too old for this. No matter how I try, I know I will never compete for the top spots. The RTS genre is less attractive to me today than it was back in the Starcraft days. That's just me. What do you think?
Want to see what real RTS is? Have a look at 300 actions a minute . Clickfest is what you get with RTS.

I like Bioware. I liked Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Remember one thing:
Good artists copy. Great artists steal.
For me, gameplay trumps graphics. However, for most people, the first impression their will get from a game is its' graphics. It is probably the great factor that sells them the game. It is no wonder why game studios go crazy about them. By the way, I am currently highly enjoying X-COM: Apocalypse even if its' graphics are ugly as hell by today's standards.
Remember also that SD is quite small and low-budget. Might be a bit of a strain on them to do the conversion without a significant enough increase in profit. Remember games like Civ4 are so well known that many Mac users would immediately snap up a copy. I doubt the majority of Mac users are avid SD followers.
I doubt the majority of Mac users are avid indie games followers. However
Lots of ind
Hello, As much as I would like Elemental to be available on Mac and Linux, I know there is little to no chance of seeing it on those platforms. Looking at Stardock, you can easily figure out that they have invested most if not all of their efforts in Windows, .NET and DirectX which make their softwares a de facto single platform. With all their Windows tools, they probably have some guys that know the windows API, tweaks and hacks as much as those who created them in Redmond.

Nice one, I like the way you used advent heavy frigates.
My recommendation, try something else that is more fun and cheaper. It still holds even more now: * http://goonfleet.com/open_letter_to_CCP.html * http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=526462 *
I have to found that the influence victory is too easy. I have turned the option off so I could follow other victory paths. As soon as you control 66% of the map, you win. That isn't really the case. I won my first game using influence in DA. In DA, you need to control at least 75% of all planets for 10 turns. That makes it a little harder but this game is nevertheless highly military oriented.
I played Eve for 1 year and 4 months, than I quited, than I played again for 8 months than I quited. I must say that in various ways, I really liked some aspects of the game. Offline training, player based economy, great PvP, awesome metagame with politics and so on. Those things are nice but they all have some bad side. You will never be able to compete on a skill base with most of the players since they started playing before you (years before). It's an hyper capitalist economy where
I'll install that new beta right now. By the way, is there a beta program or a beta community ? Is this forum post the whole thing ? I think it would be easier to help the devs if we had some lists like things to look for, knowns issues, etc.
I'm grumpy about. Our conservative gouvernment. (I'm from Canada) The current gaz price. My cat who cannot stop meowing all the time. The possiblity of Israel attack on Iran. My hypertension.
Tral, I've run into the same problem. Two individual ships on the same tile will cause them to disappear. Same with ships and starbases... I thought someone had destroyed my morale-mining base, then realized it was stacked with a cruiser, causing both to vanish! I confirm this bug. I'm playing DA 1.6beta1 and I've got the same problem.
Thanks for thoses additional tips. I did it. I won by first metaverse game . Here is what I did. There were only 3 AI left with the additional dread lords. I went all the way driver military with huge scale ships designs. I manage to conquers an other AI with cultural domination by keeping up with building constructors and influence starbases like mad. At one point, I was building 4 cons
Thank you all for those replies. I think I have a few options there. I'll first try to make some AI attack the dread lords or load a previous (and pretty old) save game to kick those bastards early on.
