Hm, thanks. I found the issue. When I selected to save the image w/ 16 colours, it saved it with only 16 colours... encoded as 8bpp (256 colours) D'oh! Anyways, got it to work now

cannot create bootskin in BootSkin Stardock Forums

for some odd reason, whenever I try and make a bootskin, it doesn't show up in bootskin's menu of installed skins. I tried the "make it a zip and rename" trick, but that didn't help either. What am I doing wrong, or what could I check?
