Thanks Yarien it turned out that it did not install for some reason, in any case I installed Visual C++ again and now the game runs.

So I am on windows 10 and the game refuses to start. Doesn't matter if I select normal or DX12 during the launch. When I try to run it directly from the EXE (again both DX11 and DX12 versions) it tells me its missing MSVCP110.dll, Running a file integrity check with steam shows all files are there and nothing is missing. What should I do? Edit: I should clarify I am not getting ANY error messages or crashes, its just nothing happens when I try to run the game.
AFAIK our preview of DX12 will be on the 20th.
I hope that means all 21:9 resolutions will be supported! Not just 3440x1440
Someone please bring this link back to life! :P Yeah the link is down, greatly appreciate it if you were to fix it.
I raised it to 11,000, hope thats realistic and won't mess up the game. Btw to make the particles re-appear I save, then re-load and they start up again, maybe that has something to do with the issue? I dunno.
Alright well in some instances, I can't really narrow it down to a certain moment because it mostley happens randomly. The effects, like the laser shots, pulse shots, etc from ships disappear, like you'd see the other ship getting damaged, but no shot effects are on screen. Like the yellow stuff the vasari frigates fire? its not there but you do see damage on the enemy ship. I don't know if anyone else has encountered this issue. My specifications are as follows. 2 8800GTX's in
Thanks Kyro, and Natathel I just didn't feel like downloading the thing again, took me a day with my slow connection :P Anyways thanks guys for all your replies.
Alright but how would I move it? sorry I didn't mention it in my previous post but I purchased the digital download, not the hard copy.
I just fired the novalith thing and damn it is amazing lol, though it would seriously suck to be on the other end of that thing, is there any type of defense that would shield against one of those attacks? or is it just if its fired upon a planet you have no hope...So the suggestion is, if there isn't anything that is able to repel or defense against superweapon attacks, maybe there should be? kinda like what supreme commander does. Just a thought. My question is, how do I move my game
I sent in probes from my scout frigates but nothing happened, atleast nothing that I noticed. So are they just basically large glowey things that have no use?
thank you :D!!! Oh btw what happened to the whole Z-Axis thing, I thought the units were able to move on that axis also, anyways it doesn't matter this game is AWESOME!
I am pretty new to the game, so I really didn't know how the whole game works. So I start building a crap load of logistics stuctures and then I research a trade center lol, now I can't build one on my capital planet, is there any way to delete like say a frigate factory or any other stucture I have no need for at the moment?
I found a fix for it, just exit, enter the second tutorial, exit from that, and then re-enter the first and it should work.
Alright thanks Yarlen for clearing that up :D
I guess most of us learned a lesson today, never pre-order from stardock 1-5 days before release :P
If I pre-order again I think they will charge me twice which I don't want them to do...I check my e-mail every 5 minutes and nothing is there. I pre-ordered it yesterday so I am pretty sure I will be one of the last ones on the list. I am just wondering like, say I do the whole check serials from stardock central, it won't pick up my serial since I didn't order it from stardock central right?
I dunno if this affects anything but...when I pre-ordered sins I made an account at store.stardock.com, I did not order it from stardock central or whatever, then afterwards I downloaded stardock central and made an account there using the same e-mail address, will that effect me recieving my serial in any way? I am confused, plus after reading the forums and realising that they are giving out instant serials for those who order now...no offense against stardock, but I am never pre-ordering from
Oh alright, thanks for explaining that :D
Alright I know your ships follow that line things when you travel to another planet, but what would happen if say you were traveling through that line and enemy ships were traveling the opposite way through the same line? do you stop half-way and battle it out or do they just pass by you?(Sorry I havn't played the beta so I have no idea if I am even making any sense on how the fast travel thing works)
Can't wait, though I wish they would let us download the game now, and lock it until release day. Like what EA does, they let you download like 99% of the game file and then on release day all you have to do is download a few MB's and your done, it would be alot better than downloading the whole game on release day.
Nevermind, sorry, I didn't notice the pre-order faq posted above, my bad :P
So I downloaded stardock central, do I just wait until tommorrow? and then what happens?
