Altarian Prophecy Campaign crashes on startup in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I downloaded and installed GalCiv 1 Ultimate Edition from Impulse. The "My Games" page shows both GalCiv and Altarian Prophecy are installed. I can play GalCiv and the Prelude to War campaign just fine ... but when I select Altarian Prophecy from the campaign menu, I get as far as the opening menu for the first scenario and the game crashes. The GalCiv exe file says it's version 1.0.0.1 ... while the Altarian Prophecy readme file says that GalCiv must be version 1.22 or hi

Did you download it from Impluse ... and the "My Games" page shows it to be "installed"? ;-) pj

Gal Civ 1 in Stardock Games Stardock Forums

The Prelude to War campaign works fine ... but Altarian Prophecy won't run. Maybe game version isn't properly updated? The opening game screen has the subtitle "Altarian Prophecy" embedded beneath "Galactic Civilization" so it seems like it ought to work. But when trying to start the first scenario in the campaign, it crashes. Ideas?
