Thanks, Brickhead but I ended up having to uninstall ObjectBar2. It caused a major crash on my computer and it's taken me two days of lots of drama to finally get back up and running. Do you know of any way I can get my 1.65 version back? That one worked without any dramas like this and didn't cause any difficulties.

One of the main reasons I use ObjectBar is because it will hide my desktop icons and give me a nice clean desktop. I updated to ObjectBar2 and find I don't have that option any longer unless I'm missing the option somewhere. Can y'all point me to where I need to go to get rid of my icons. I really prefer working with a clean desktop. TIA
gef's Darkzone2 ... it worked fine for over a year but my subscription ran out and I couldn't get DesktopX to run after that. I renewed my subscription, reinstalled SDC and DesktopX after I had my motherboard and processor replaced and it wouldn't work right after that. I also noticed some quirky behavior with SDC installed, it wouldn't let me change my user pic and it took forever to pull up anything on any of my hard drives (I have 6 - 2 IDE internal, 2 STAT internal and 2 IDE external). <br
I have SDC and I had both MCP notifications checked but it still isn't working. Right now I have it uninstalled because it was bogging down my 'puter which takes a lot with a 3.4 Ghz chip and 4 Gigs of Ram and a 256 Mb Video card.
it no longer displays my systray items and it prompts me to load a theme instead of loading the one I use all the time. At one point in the not so distant past, Desktop X would load before anything else, would load my default theme and would show everything in my sys tray but it doesn't do that any longer, which makes it unusable for me. I have to say, DesktopX is the only reason I renewed my subscription and if it doesn't work like it used to I won't be coming back for mor
Another female here! Been using computers since 1980 when all we had was DOS, 20Meg hard drives and 5 1/4" floppies. I've gotten to the point where I can build my own system from the ground up because I did it with this new computer. I don't skin but I do digital art.
