Guild wars had no subscription, neither will 2. It's been confirmed
i knew gw didnt, but it wasnt a persistent world was it? i always wanted to get it. if gw2 has no fees, then it would be a sucess.
DauntlessAnsible
i dont care for this... Will Guild Wars 2 be an MMO? Yes. Guild Wars 2 provides a massive, online persistent world usually that means you shell out cash like crazy. guess i will stick to sins! ;)
[e digicons][/e] sweet, you will love it
PC Game rentals was around about 15 years ago but not around the states anymore. i would do three things. 1. tell kyro who and where the shop was 2. go get your rental money back 3. download the SINS demo to try it out and after all that, buy direct from Impuse!
the reg code is on a sticker inside the retail box. if you bought via impulse, then you can retrieve the code from the impulse lightning bolt button adn then go to register product. if those options dont work, then i think there is a utility that gets installed that will display the code.
nice Sova frame heavy strike craft extra strike craft flak burst rad bomb, missile barrage, nannites or something to help out its base offensive weakness. that and add a whole bunch of extra strike craft squads [e digicons][/e]
if a big factor is that Raging doesnt want to build his own, he can still buy off the shelf stuff and simply upgrade the video and ram and get decent box for a low cost. no need to bog him down with building a pc if he isnt interested in that. dont get me wrong. i have built everyone of the computers in my family since 1998 and will likely always build my own. all im saying is that he CAN get a decent machine in the budget that he wants to spend. for exa
sweet. i may check it out. i love my little acer aspire one.
if you have extra money in the budget, you could always go with the $500 type box and enhance the video card and ram. more the merrier. dont forget costs of keyboard/mouse/monitor unless you have stuff in the barn.
i always wanted a runabout when i was a kid. bigger and faster than a shuttle but small enough you dont need a giant crew to keep it flying.
i personally like this package... http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd-mobile.html it has great support and a large forum community. tons of formats. plus you can add more formats via simple ini file changes. its pretty nice.
+1 to SD for the skin job. why is it that companies have to sell themed computers? HP and Dell both love to do it. I can't see them making any decent profit from them. having cool theme designs for the desktop to match the branding is one thing, but...nickelodeon....really, Dell?
SINS is totally worth the 6hrs isnt it. congrats on your win.
^ also in TNG: I, Borg sensors detected a spherical shaped ship. [e digicons]:borg:[/e] my geek is showing.
i always loved TNG ships, but there is something about the Constitution Refit that is just really cool. probably the most versatile ship in its era, but not the strongest. long time favorite would be the Akira class. maybe it just reminds me too much of the P-38 Lightning (one of my fav WWII fighters). again a versatile ship but designed more with the borg in mind. so like the defiant it was built for combat. ENT era I liked the Andorian battle cruisers
make sure your router, firewalls, and ISP are not blocking incoming FTP requests on port 21. generally that is the default port used for FTP services. typical router setups will allow usage of port 21 when the connection is started inside the network. so unless you changed something i would suspect the ISP or a Windows firewall issue.
[e digicons][/e] nice. and to put this back on the right path... buy entenchment.
What about the brilliant Freelancer (brilliant story and single-player campaign, but also massive open universe after completing the story, loads of ships, loads of factions (including various pirates, governments and corporations), loads of upgrades, secrets etc. Jump gates for the law-abiders, and hidden jump holes in asteroid fields for those criminal types who need to avoid the law. Amazing game. They
i lost interest after "Obama".
nice. i forgot about impulse anyway. handy little tool when you need it. :)
generally, yes that will work fine as long as the usb stick drive is formatted on the pc side first. the mac can handle the pc format, but not the other way around. however. impulse is used as the downloader app which is NOT mac compatible. so, if the friend is running Windows on his Mac, then there is no issue at all. they install impulse, login, and download and archive SINS. move the archvie to a usb stick and then on to your computer.
is the xp english box connected to the network? i know its plugged in but does it have a valid ip address? click Start | Run enter CMD and press OK enter IPCONFIG and press OK this will give you your IP information. do the same on the xp french box. everything should be identical except for the IP address. if the xp english box IP address starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then you have some kind of connection problem.
wrong forum. but the servers in africa are probably to blame and not the game.
Mount & Blade consumed the majority of my time. Maybe close to 20hrs of time in game. SINS was next on the list. Maybe 6 hrs of game time. Wifey and I wiped out 8 AIs. She learned the usefulness of starbases and flak. Played about 45min of Counter Strike as a time kill. I tried the Demigod demo once and was disappointed in how much trouble my computer had running it and uninstalled the game after about 10 minutes.
