No the research was definitely done and my research labs were there (I just checked). All I can think is that this was some kind of bug in the older version because once I updated the game the old saved game files were no longer valid. Perhaps the updated version saw them as corrupted? I don't truly know what was going on, hopefully tonight I'll get it working again when I get that far with the updates. -jlwelch

Hello all, I am a new player of Sins of a Solar Empire and I have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far. I started playing the very first pre-made map in the single player section, and captured a planet immediately connected to the Pirates homeworld. Originally, I planned to build a Novalith Cannon and blast them to high hell so I wouldn't have to worry about paying bounty.
