Thanks so much! :) I'll go for the Radeon HD 4850, seems like the best option. As for the 64bit OS, im avoiding vista like the plague, so i think i will upgrade to windows 7 when its out. also, how do you give karma? pressing the thumbs up button doesnt do anything.

Thanks for the info Trigeminal. I checked, and I have PCI-E. I never knew that i had to take the power supply into consideration, but i think its ok...and i dont know what a 12v rail is either! Ive ordered the extra 4gb ram, it was supprisingly cheap. My budget for a graphics card is £60 to £90 (roughly $90 to $130).I live in England if you hadnt guessed.

Thanks for the responses.
Probably best just going with 2GB of Ram. Does your computer uses DDR or DDR2? Do you have an AGP or PCiE clot for graphics? This is a very important question!!!
My computer uses DDR2, i wasnt certain but everyone tells me so ;o and i dont know anything about AGP or PCiE clots, could you maybe elaborate and explain? Would be so</e

Im going to be upgrading my older than Ashley computer, and would like to get some opinions from people that are considerably smarter with computers than me. Here are my spec: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/10/2009, 17:38:52 Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.080814-1242) L

Since my videocard is older than Ashley, i thought i ought to get a new one to play demigod...so I would like some advice on what to get! Im a cheapy cheapy so i can only spend between £50 to £90, cheaper the better obviously, but one that could still run demigod decently. Any advice or points into the right direction would be apprecitated.

When actually is the UK date of its release? I was dissapointed to find that most sites say that it comes out in may, but at all sorts of various dates. Anyone know anything about it? I really want to play the game earlier rather than later :

Good post! You've made me deffinately want to get demigod now, despite dota players saying how bad it is...screw them, it looks awesome :D

I just cant bring myself to play league of legends...i hate that sugar-coated japanese cartoon style...if i wanted that i would have watched the japanese powerpuff girls. That said demigod's graphics are wicked, a bit put off by sedna and QoT's faces...theyre a bit weird and scare me. Also it looks like theres no room for multiple builds in LoL, just lots of different characters to chose from. I think that once demigod gets going and gets a few more additions to it's family, d
again, please understand that the word assassin does not mean "ninja", "sneaky", "rogue", or "covert".
Yeah, but the word gives off that impression in modern language. Also, assassins dont seem like the type that barges through a battlefield either, correc me if im mistaken but i thought assassins are meant to target a single person, not an army.

I never assumed that demigod was going to be a dota remake, sorry if i came off like i did. AngryZealot, i totally agree that it should have references to other games too.

awesome, i like it that you can actually achieve something from winning, except the fun of the game. can i ask while im at it how long an average multiplayer game lasts?

I think it would deffinately put a smile on Dota players' faces if you had some kind of reference to Dota in the game, i.e. an item, demigod's name, reference in single player... Edit: Sorry about the confusion! I wasnt implying that Demigod is going to be just another Dota. I just thought that a lot of people discovered this game through the Dota Community. Im personaly hoping this game is going to be a lot better than Dota :)

erm i dont know where i heard this but i think there were a lot of complaints when total annihilation: kingdoms came out that kids werent allowed to play the game because their mums didnt want them playing games with blood and violence, but the original was ok because it didnt have any blood in it. that was yeeeaaars ago though, and probably not a very big case.

I agree that they should include myths from all over the globe. Dont quote me on this, but i think a lot of chinese and japanese myths derive from indian mythology too, as buddhism came from india to china to japan, and mythology is often based around religion. Although i do think the monkey king is a chinese original myth... I'd personally like to see designs coming from greek and roman mythology, celtic/anglo saxon mythology, norse mythology, egyptian and western asian myths, c
